Who: Colin Starfury, any meddling kids
Open: Open as the plains
When: Day 267, late morning and early afternoon.
Where: The Farmland
What: Doing another survey for more development
Format: Anything, can match
Warnings: Colin IS a warning
As far as plans went, this wasn't how Colin had wanted to spend this week. There were a lot of things that needed doing even before the plight of the Ura reared its head. But Colin was an engineer, and he knew well that the universe had plans of its own and it really didn't care one little bit of the plans of individual people.
The day before this had been spent doing research, and helping Rob build his new cart. That had taken a fair amount of time on its own, but it was work that needed to be done if they wanted to set up a supply line. Now that the transportation was done, it was time to set up the facilities that would give them the supplies down the line.
So here he was, setting out more stakes and flags, taking more measurements, and generally making it apparent that SOMETHING is going to be going up in this area soon. And if the layout of the flags and stakes are any indication, it's going to be something BIG.
Anyone care to bother the engineer at work?

He gives her a wink. "There won't be any question about it."

At least Ibuki doesn't seem to mind whether somebody actually does top the jerky cows or not...

He gestures towards a pile of loose flags and stakes he's got on the ground. He wishes there were more he could have her do, but his tools are so heavily integrated with his brain that he's the only one who can set up the measurements he needs.

With that said, Ibuki starts to gather up the flags.

There's a teasing tone to his voice, a good indication that he's not mad...

After a pause, she adds, "Too bad it doesn't have a good sound system, though..."

He smirks at her observation. It's a pretty common complaint for the tech, even in his universe.

Suddenly, his eye flashes black and flickers green code across the surface. Then, just as quickly, it's back to normal.
"Rocket punches are over-rated, but laser horns would be totally amazing," he says, and then he sighs. "I miss my lasers..."

"Ibuki never said cyborgs are bad! But, but Ibuki just doesn't believe the cyborg life is for her, Colin-sama-chan!"
After a bit of thought, she adds, "Lasers... laser guitar! That would be sooo cool..."

He keeps right on grinning at her, almost like a cat that ate a canary.
