Day 245 [OPEN] - Cookery tomfoolery
Who: Ibuki Mioda and you!
Open: Open like a door that's been opened
When: Day 245
Where: Around the Bastion
What: Ibuki's not a bad cook, but she could be better...
Format: Action, but will match
Warnings: Dangan Ronpa spoilers.
[A: In the library]
[Ibuki can be found looking all around the library for a book... what kind of book? Well, if you want to cheat and break the fourth wall (wait no don't do that!), she's looking for a cook book]
[... she might also be carelessly pulling some books out and leaving them on a table (or floor, if a table's not convenient) in the hopes of finding hidden books behind them...]
[B: In the kitchen, or publicly available cooking place!]
[Are you preparing a meal! GOOD! Then Ibuki is there, watching intently! Depending on the complexity of the food you're preparing, she might start pestering you with questions! But even if it's an easy meal, she'll probably pester you anyway]
[C: All around the Bastion!]
[Do you hate books and cooking? Well, that's not all Ibuki's up to today! You can find her taking a jog all around the Bastion! She's gotta keep in shape, after all! If she sees you, she'll likely run up to you and say hi!]
[[edit of nostalgic regret: and here's where I transitioned from weird nicknames to -chan]]

Anyway! Nice to meet you, Makoto-chan!
[She accepts Naegi's hand, giving it an energetic shake, but...- Wait, she heard that name earlier, her first time arriving...]
... Say, Ibuki heard your name earlier. Did Makoto-chan go to Hope's Peak Academy...?
no subject
[ Yeah, just the mention of that academy is enough to make Naegi freeze up mid-handshake, a dark look on his face for several moments before it leaves as quickly as it came, though his grip is somewhat tighter than usual now...
Oops. ]
I did, once. Then... well, the Calamity happened and now I'm here...
no subject
[Yeah, she picks up on that reaction. Not that she's hiding any of her discomfort about the subject concerning that school, either]
...
W-Well! Um... Ibuki started this conversation on an awkward note, a-ahaha...! P-please accept Ibuki's sincere apology, ahaha...
... by the way, you're hurting Ibuki's hand...
no subject
[ To say the absolute least. Naegi lets go of her hand, wincing a little in apology. ]
... sorry. Uh, hold on, let me get something for your hand...
no subject
[She absently massages her hand with her other... Makoto's seriously overestimating his strength if he really thinks Ibuki needs something for her hand]
It's fine, it's fine! Ibuki's hand wasn't crushed by your overwhelming strength! She'll be okay, Makoto-chan!
no subject
[ Naegi relaxes, grinning and ready to apologize again when he pauses, letting Ibuki's thought catch up to him. ]
Wait... you went to Hope's Peak too?
no subject
[As much as Ibuki would rather just move on from the subject, this really isn't something she should avoid. Not with somebody who she already knew went through a similar ordeal that she'd been taken from]
Not for very long! Not even a day, really!
[... is that right, though? That ... 'video game' that Monokuma had set up... but could she really believe him]
... Maybe.
Ibuki's not really sure how long she was there, anymore.
no subject
[ Naegi responds with a sigh, a sort of wistful smile on his face as his demeanor becomes serious again. ]
Shortly after I arrived, my friends and I were forced into a mutual life of school killing game where we either murdered someone or choose to stay in the school for eternity.
Dammit, Monokuma...
1/2
That's...
...
Ibuki was in the same situation... just... she and her friends were at Jabberwock Island instead...
She's not even sure how she got there. Ibuki was in a classroom one second, and then the next...

no subject
[ Naegi does a sort of wild take as he stares at Ibuki, looking at her with a stunned expression on his face that slowly turns into shaken exasperation. ]
...
...
You're... not joking, are you...?
no subject
MONOKUMA WAS THERE, TOO!!! THE BLACK AND WHITE BEAR WITH THE RED EYE, RIGHT?!
no subject
[ That gets a stunned silence out of Naegi for several moments, if anything, as he lets that sink in.
...
Needless to say, he's not at all liking the implications of this, to say the absolute least, and it's very evident on his face as he speaks once more. ]
... there was another killing game going on at the same time as ours?
Fuck you, Monokuma. Just... fuck you.
[ NAEGI. LANGUAGE. ]
So even if we'd somehow managed to stop our killing game, yours would've kept going or something?
no subject
...
Makoto-chan... ... YOUR OMELETTE IS BURNING!!!!!
no subject
[ Naegi blinks at the mention of the omelette... where did that come from?
... wait, why does it smell like smoke- OHGOD WHY IS THE PAN BURNING AND ON FIRE
Cue Naegi screaming like a little girl as he rushes to toss something onto the pan in an attempt to put it out. Oh, dear...
Well, this is his life now. Throwing wet paper towels onto the pan to smother it. ]
no subject
[She'll do what she can to help smother the mess, assuming she can do so without getting in the way]
[Oh, yeah, she's going to turn off the oven too. That's probably the best thing to do]
no subject
Naegi takes several moments to throw open the windows to push all the smoke out, and finally sighs once it's gone for the most part. ]
Sorry... I wasn't quite expecting any of this to happen, really...
no subject
no subject
[ Naegi goes quiet, sighing quiet and taking a few moments before he looks at her seriously, his fist tightening into a ball. ]
If, somehow... Monokuma finds his way here, to this place...
... I'm counting on you to help me explain what's going on to everyone and to stop him, if at all possible.
I have no desire to repeat his game again.
[ He nods quietly. ]
And... I'll do my best to protect you, as well. I don't want to see anyone die again, especially someone who's had to go through this same exact situation like you have.
no subject
But Ibuki will do whatever she can to help if that Monokuma shows up again!
no subject
[ Blink. Hey, wait a minute. ]
Byakuya? Like... Byakuya Togami?
no subject
... he died at...
...
... ... ...
no subject
[ Naegi looks at her with a shocked expression on his face, looking about ready to just. Keel over right then and there. ]
He was one of the participants in our game...
[ And even tampered with one of the crime scenes because lol, who's letting him live that down... ]
no subject
IBUKI DOESN'T UNDERSTAND, HOW COULD HE BE IN TWO OF THEM?! DID HE EVER MENTION ANOTHER KILLING GAME?!?! WAIT, BUT HE DIED AT THE ISLAND, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN YOURS FIRST, THEN?!?!? HE NEVER TALKED ABOUT BEING IN ONE BEFORE!!! HE WOULD'VE TOLD US!!! HE WAS THE COOL LEADER AND EVERYTHING!!!
UNLESS... MONOKUMA WAS TELLING THE TRUTH?!?! THAT OUR MEMORIES WERE...
no subject
[ GIRL STOP, YOU'RE CONFUSING HIM EVEN MORE--
You know what this means. Trial is in session. ]
Okay, first off? What did Monokuma say about our memories?
