Day 241 - Tell It By Heart
Who: Ghaleon, fairies, and you. Yes, you.
Open: Open
When: Day 241
Where: the garden
What: Fairies, that's what.
Format: starting in action brackets, can switch to whatever
Warnings: probably just Ghaleon
[Fairies.
Creatures of myth to some, a fact of life to others. To those who know of them, they may represent benevolent spirits, kindly and willing to help those in need, or perhaps capricious creatures, as likely to be harmful as not.
To the people of Lunar, fairies were very real, and very shy nature spirits. They were always terribly rare, and with the destruction of the world they too were lost. Only... what are those things flying about the garden today if there are no fairies anymore?
And why is it that the elf-like man tending the plants seems rather cheerful about their presence? Perhaps asking would help clear up these questions.]

[... AZ follows along and looks at Ghaelon.]
... Friends of yours?

[He turns his attention away from his gardening (and keeping an eye on the fairies as they settle in) with a smile.]
Why yes. Darling, aren't they?

Well, hello there, little ones. Haven't seen you before.
[If he notices Ghaleon, he doesn't say anything.]
no subject
What about you? [another asks.] When did you start existing?
[For his part, Ghaleon continues on as if he hasn't noticed anything while keeping an ear on the situation. It's not that he thinks Colin would do anything to them, but it's difficult not to be protective of such guileless little things, especially ones so young. He'll not smother their curiosity though, so for now he will pretend not to be here.]

[Colin smiles, looking at each of the Faeries as he goes about his work.]
New to the world, then? Well, it's nice to meet all of you. Are you helping in the garden?

Ah, darling? I believe you're in the presence of Nizn.

If you mean the fairies, that would be because I brought the little dears here.
no subject
Er, why, darling? Does a life free of danger not excite you?

Ghaleon looks terribly amused about it, but offers a bit of assistance anyway.]
My dears, I know you're all very eager to make friends, but give the poor girl a moment to answer.
no subject
Are they friends of yours? [This of course is directed at Ghaleon.]

And draw them, of course.
He sits cross legged near by so he won't startle them, taking out his sketch book so he can draw them as they move about.]

Her stare is kind of intense, actually...
Ghaleon himself appears to be focused on gardening still, but he's actually keeping an ear on things too.]

The stare earns a blink, and an uncertain wave.
Hello strange fairy.]

Huh.
Zia's only passing by, but the fluttering in her peripheral vision catches her attention. Bugs? No, not bugs—no way.
Wide-eyed, she takes a few slow steps towards the garden they're all fluttering about. Before she tries to get too close a look, she wants to make sure that her approach won't frighten them. Her focus is too set on that for her to notice (or care much about) anyone else in the immediate vicinity for the moment.]

Ghaleon on the other hand semi-accidentally sneaks up on Zia.]
It's nice to see so many are finding these little ones a welcome sight.

[Complete deadpan on the outside, laughing on the inside. Not that it's entirely untrue, but he'd let the fairies know beforehand that the joke would probably come up.]

Judging by the man nearby who doesn't seem to be worried about their presence, the third option is less likely, but Rob circles around and approaches from behind Ghaleon just to be safe. It takes a moment before he can work up the guts to interrupt the gardening of someone he doesn't know, and when he does speak his voice is low and kind of hard to hear.]
Um... What do those fairies do, do you know?
no subject
At the moment I'm teaching them to help maintain the garden. Mostly I just happen to find them pleasant company.
