I swear to drunk I'm not god marshal
Who: Raile and all you poor unfortunate souls.
Open: Open
When: Day 223 (Late Night)
Where: All over the Bastion
What: Raile's had a little too much to drink tonight.
Format: Whatever works for you!
Warnings: Vulgar Language, Combative Attitudes, General Drunk Shenanigans, Maybe some deeper seated anger issues.
[Well, if this wasn't something new to behold. Usually Raile kept his drinking to the point where he could curl up alone with his own thoughts, but tonight...was a little different. He was splendidly drunk, wobbling in off the Skyway with half a song on his lip and the other covered by muttered cursing before he drowned it out with more booze.
To his credit, he wasn't making that much a ruckus, but considering it was the time of night where most people were asleep and the Bastion was pretty much quiet as a mouse, it was safe to say he was still being pretty loud.
He might also currently be heading over to the Onsen because it looked interesting and he'd been meaning to see what all the fuss was about. Probably not the best idea considering how roaringly blitzed he was. Someone should probably stop him.]

[The sudden quiet voice may come as a surprise with it being right behind Raile, but Zulf might just admit he's been practicing lately how to be quiet. He actually... seems a bit better than he has the past few weeks. Not so worn down. He is looked down at Raile a bit sadly, however, and lays a hand down on his shoulder.]
What are you doing, wobbling around in the dead of night?
1/2
2/2
Shit...sorry 'bout that, almost scared t'life outta me. I...am havin' a drink.
[Or five.]
What...are you doin'...not wobblin' around in t'dead o'night?
[Classy Raile, classy.]

[He knows you, Raile. He's not buying it.]
I was out at the Shrine. Why don't we get you back home?
no subject
[He might be drunk but he still has his mother's manners beaten into him Zulf. Last thing he wants to do is smell the house up like dirt and booze.]
What's goin' on...at the shrine though? Jus' yer normal prayers?

Which is unfortunately what Rin gets to deal with thanks to Raile's caterwauling outside. For a moment she had thought it to be the start of a nightmare, or something worse, but sitting up in bed with Bon continuing to sleep peacefully next to her unawares made her realize fairly quickly that it was just some one acting like a complete ass outside.
Grumbling, she slipped out of bed and found a too-big teeshirt to slip over her bra and panties, her Tepig waking up with her movements and insisting with a quiet "Pig..." that he come along.
"Just in case."
Or something like that.
So with Kintaro on her shoulder, dressed in little more than undergarments and a shirt, she padded outside only to see Raile tetter-tottering his way over towards the Onsen.
She caught up to him quickly, snagging an arm before he toppled over or slammed himself in to something ungracefully.]
Oi.

Oi yerself. ...Whaddyer doin' out this late...an' why're y'half undressed? You'll catch yer death like that...
[Yes...from the cold that wasn't actually in the Bastion. At least he still had mind enough to worry about people though.]
no subject
[Worrying about people was a nice enough gesture but Raile please.]
Should be askin' you that. You're drunk as hell and headed for the onsen. Even I know booze and water ain't a good combo for, y'know. Stayin' alive.
[Kintaro has no idea what booze is, but he can tell when some one isn't doing well and he gives an affirmative nod and a "Pig!" in agreement with his trainer.]

[Raile stopped for a moment to put a hand under his chin contemplatively, rubbing it as he thought on the word.]
Sounds weird. Hot bath place...makes more sense, yeah?
[Completely forgetting the fact that he'd just been called out on almost potentially drowning, but hey, he wasn't moving anymore. He'd rather discuss the place now if someone had knowledge about it.]
So...how does it work?
no subject
Could you be any more wasted, Raile?
... wait don't answer that.]
. . . "onsen" just means "hot springs". And I'unno, it's just hot water.

[Yeah uh. Sudden telepathy go.]

T'hell...? Musta hit...the bottle too hard...
no subject
[He flies down in front of Raile, wings puffed out a little. This is familiar and he hates it.]
<Go to bed. You're drunk, you're headed for the hot springs. You're going to drown yourself. Now go lie down before you hurt yourself or someone else.>
no subject
Yer...talkin'. Ain't never seen a talkin' pecker a'fore...how'd y'learn t'do that?
no subject
[He is going to bite that finger off, boy.]
<Go to bed before I morph into a chimpanzee or something and drag you there myself.>

Hey Raile. You okay?
no subject
[Ryu, you have no idea what you've walked into here.]
Yer that...guy, right? That...the two of you person...Ryu! Yeah...you know what that place is there?
[He said shakily, pointing a finger at the Onsen, because he'd passed it plenty but what on earth was it?
no subject
[He glances to the direction Raile indicates.]
That's the Onsen, you can go there to soak in some hot water. It's really relaxing.
[He turns back to Raile, giving the other man a concerned look.]
How much have you been drinking?
no subject
[He'll start ambling towards it though, because dammit he's curious and he's going to learn a thing if it kills him.]
T'real question...is how much have you been drinking?
no subject
[It seems like a really bad idea to leave him alone.]
Why don't I come with you and show it? That's where I go after a long day.

Of course, the problem here is that the Onsen is just one large pool. There is a curtain that can be draped down the middle, so men and women can bathe at the same time during busy hours, but since Nanaki didn't expect anyone else to show up she had let the curtain up before getting in.
Thankfully she's wearing a towel when Raile arrives, but that doesn't make her scream any less loud.]
no subject
Wha'? Wha'?? Where is it? Ifin' somethin' snuck inta t'Bastion I'll knock it clear back out!
no subject
She's sinking low in the water now, so that everything except her head is hidden below the rocky edge of the onsen.]
Occupied! OCCUPIED!
[She can't exactly yell at him for intruding in the first place, since it's the middle of the night and she hadn't put up a sign or anything. So instead she channels her yelling into letting him know that someone else is in the Onsen right now.]
no subject
...It seems as if you have over-indulged on the alcohol.
no subject
[Stay classy Raile, stay classy.]
Whaddya out 'ere fer anyways...trouble sleepin' or somethin'?
