Day 214
Who: Zulf, some birds and a Pokemon, and you
Open: Open (and a couple closed)
When: 214, midday
Where: By the Monument
What: In which things are written out, birds are a nuisance, and visits are made for numerous reasons
Format: Any
Note: Some time ago, Seimei asked Zulf to write down things about the world the Calamity originated in, aka Caelondia and the Tazal Terminals. Since this information is available to everyone (although written in Caelondian and Ura), you can consider this post as a reference! It's also available as a request sort of thing, if you or your characters have any inquiries about culture, technology, or lore about either place. It'd also help me out with what to write for Seimei (and the mun of Seimei) since, when asked where to start, his IC answer was basically "everything".
----------
Ever since returning from the sudden expedition a week or so ago, Zulf has been quiet. Not completely and utterly silent, like he's become on occasion- just quiet. There's been a lot of things to think about.
Today, however, at least he's out in public, seated by the Monument. There are papers by him, things written in both Caelondian and the Ura language. There's also some sketches of different outfits alongside them. He's steadily working on both.
Anyone is more than welcome to come over and investigate...
Assuming the large group of Rattle-tails doesn't try to swarm towards them first. Yes, they're here too, a mix of sizes. Yes, there's a tiny little Cubone on top of one of them, waving its bone around energetically. Don't worry, Zulf will give a sharp whistle when they start to swarm and they... should back off before anyone gets slammed into by a giant white bird.
[Locked for Zahi andor Zanya]
After a day of writing, talking, and bird wrangling, Zulf finally finishes and goes to retrieve something. It's just a basket of things gathered up from the Skyway, vineapples and such. When he gets to a certain Ura abode, he knocks on the door.
[Locked for Zia and Raile]
And with that done... Zulf does the search for two of his most important people. Don't think he hasn't noticed some awkwardness floating around here.

Oh, I doubt I'll ever have the honor of meeting her until she takes me into her arms properly like she's taken so many before me. There are more important things for her to take care of considering everything.
...I doubt there's much I would want to ask or demand of her, besides.

When I was seeking her, there was an enchantment cast on me. It was called Prana, or the Eye of God. So long as she and I still lived, I would know where to find her. I didn't mean to imply anything else.
[The boy certainly looks apologetic.]
If I have anything to say about it, meeting her isn't gonna happen anytime soon.

[It's said with a bit of a tired tone- not confident or teasing or anything else that might be expected.]
no subject
So what made you come to the conclusion that both myths for the Ura and Caels might be true?
[Bit of a subject change, but there's so much for him to learn.]
no subject
Honestly? It was just something that came to mind. After all, there's no evidence that goes against it so it's something that should be taken into consideration. The Lorn Mother is no stranger to crafting multiple children at the same time. Lemaign and Acobi, Garmuth and Jevel... Hense, Roathus, and Olak were all born at the same time as well. The only two of her children born on their own were Pyth and Yudrig.
The only reason that any Cael or Ura would be against it is because both races are extremely suspicious and at times hateful of each other, which is why we're in this situation in the first place.

So the Calamity was a result of the conflict between the Cael and Ura?
[Hey, look. It's the last horse crossing the finish line.]
no subject
["Hey it's the end of the world, here's how it happened: people were assholes"]
[Too bad no one here reads the same damn language]
Yes... We told the Bastion as a whole about it but... New survivors like yourself have arrived here without knowing. It was a weapon made by the Mancers, a military faction in Caelondia known for their inventions. They didn't want another Point Lemaign War- the first and last conflict between both people.
no subject
And these Mancers. Do any of them still live?
[Because while he couldn't find it in him to hurt other people, even if they had basically killed everyone he had ever known or loved... Boy, he's gonna have some real choice words for them. Words one might not ordinarily hear from Ryu.]

Talk.
[He shakes his head.]
More bloodshed in anger would accomplish nothing, and least of all I can't use the Brood's power to swing my weight around. It would spit on everything they stood for. I don't have any intention of starting a fight with so few people left alive. But...
[He glances over to Zulf, still seething with a bit of anger.]
I will not see any more blood shed to racial hatred. Not again. Not after seeing my own people endure that for four hundred years.
[It's probably apparent at this point this is going into way more than just the Ura and Caels being dicks to each other.]

Nathaniel- you've surely seen him considering he handles the shard amulets, is only a child in terms of where he is in Mancer ranks. He had nothing to do with any of it.
Rucks? Rucks was actively trying to sabotage it.
If it's blood shed because of hatred, then you don't have to worry about either of them.
Everyone responsible is dead. There's no one to talk to, now.
