Where: Various places in the Bastion where there are walls to be stared at.
What: There is a strange tall kid with a sketch book staring at walls. No, he's not broken, but you'll have to ask what he's doing if you really want to know.

[Haruka likely did a good job of making himself known as "that kid with the bottomless pit for a stomach" at the feast yesterday, but he does have other talents. Mostly to do with that nearly full sketch book he's been toting around everywhere.

It's in his possession yet again, tucked beneath his arm as he wanders silently around the Bastion, stopping only to stare at blank walls on the outside of buildings before abruptly moving on to another one.

Dare you ask what this strange child is doing?]

[Haruka just laughs at that, shaking his head.]

I doubt I'd have the strength for that. No, actually, I was thinking about painting a mural somewhere.

A mural?

[ she raises an eyebrow at this and looks to the wall then back at Haruka. ]

You can actually paint, right? You're not just going to splash some shit on the wall that we all have to nod politely at and pretend it looks great?

[Haruka hands over his sketch book, which is almost entirely filled with different doodles along with full on colored images of people around the Bastion and various landscapes therein. There's even a few of some of the Pokemon that live there, too.]

[ Skyla takes the sketchbook with what can only be called uncertainty written all over her face. If he can't draw, she's sure as hell not going to waste her breath pretending she's impressed or anything but then

Is this all stuff you've seen around here?

[Kid's got talent, that much can't be denied.]

Uhuh. I had to get a new one when I got here, but it's already almost full.

I can see that. Guess you've gotta pass the time around here somehow and it's a hell of a way to do it.

[ there's a pause. ]

Ever thought of... I dunno, tryin' to make something out of it? Here, I mean. Swap shards or shit with people in exchange for drawin' or painting them somethin'.

S'a way to keep you up to your butt in supplies, at least.

[And he's just grinning at that.]

Mm... I don't know. Would people want that sort of thing for shards?

S'art, isn't it? If you're good at something, you should never do it for free. If you're gonna go around slapping murals on people's walls, might as well see what you can get out your work.

Doesn't have to be shards, I guess. Could just be someone owin' you a favour or givin' you some junk they got off the Skyway.

Oh I wouldn't want anyone to owe me a favor! I would be just fine with shards, especially if I can't get them myself.

Wouldn't hurt to splash some paint around before you start chargin' for your services though. Like, buildin' a portfolio or something like that.

I guess I would have to, wouldn't I? I don't have any of my stuff here now. Not even a copy of Headphone Actor...

[And he was so proud of the work they put in to that, too.]

[ you can pretty much hear the ???? in her voice right now and she pulls a bit of a face. ]

What's that, something you drew?

It was a game I made with Takane and our home room teacher, Tateyama-sensei! I did the art for it, and helped him with the coding and level lay outs and things like that.

I lost my sketchbook with all the stuff I'd started with, but the end boss looked like this.

[He flipped to a page in his current sketchbook, showing a drawing of a dour looking girl in an over sized jacket and headphones with a gas mask covering the lower half of her face.

... say, does that girl kind of look like Takane?]

[ ... yep, that girl definitely looks like Takane, and Skyla can't help but snort a little -- but she's still smiling. ]

You made a whole game, just the three of you? S'pretty cool, actually. What kinda game was it?

Like, an RPG or somethin'? Then again, this one looks like she's more at home in a fighting game.

A shooter, actually! That was the kind of game Takane was good at, and she was the one everyone was going to go against at the cultural festival so I had to make it something she could win at.

Oh, like a tournament thing? Get through the whole game and you get to face big bad boss Takane right at the end?

Did she actually win? Or did she get stomped?

She won every match up until she went against Shintaro, and even that was a really close one!
