[Someone has been busy today. The kitchen and Distillery has been noisy and bustling, a departure from the much more quiet days when the illness was spreading through the Bastion and survival was once more on the uncertain scale of things. Somewhere around the time that the night cycle begins, when the sky is more of an orange-ish glow fading in to blue and purple, a large spread of food has been set up near the Distillery with glass lanterns hanging overhead.

Just like any other time there has been a feast be it random or planned, there is a wide selection of food on the covered, decorated tables. There's even meat this time! And yes, Aoi, your doughnuts have been transferred from your trees to a platter on the table. There's even a section for Paar, complete with massive amounts of bbq'd mammoth meat! You can thank Colin for that.

There's really no announcement for the feast, but chances are if you're outside at any point today you'll see the progress towards the set up, or smell the delicious scents wafting over the Bastion. (There might even be music playing, if Colin finds a way to provide it!)

Either way, come dusk food will be ready and mingling will be had!]

Good, me either. But I bet it's longer than it'd take to grow the things. If Asahina can get donut trees, I see literally no reason why I can't have chicken and bacon trees.

How many Shards d'you think it'd take?

Yeah... I heard that we have a few people who can make it directly, but I'm not sure if I want to trouble them so much if I wanted chicken and bacon, for example...

[ Because he generally doesn't want to bother people if he can help it? The question about the shards makes him pause, though. ]

I'm not sure, actually... I'm still trying to get some shards myself, but I'm not sure how to get them...

[ Naegi sighs quietly, frowning a little. ]

It'd probably cost a lot, though, if we want them to be a permanent feature here like the donut trees...

You gotta get your ass stomped out on the Skyway. I mean, you get Shards for killing shit out there, right? So either you gotta be good enough at kicking ass to be able to actually take them down, or you gotta let yourself get stomped and just hope you can kill a few of 'em and get at least a few Shards to make it worth your time.

Naegi sighs quietly before looking down at himself; he's definitely not the kind of person who can fight. There's a frown here; that would explain a lot. Either way, he just... kind of cringes at the choices Skyla explains; he can pretty much guess what route she's taking.

I think it's more the latter... I'm kinda surprised there's so many worlds aside from our own, to be honest.

You get used to it. It freaked me out for a while -- kind reminds you how tiny you are. It's one thing to be a single person on planet Earth, but when you find out there's billions of other Earths and a fuckin' billion others yous, kinda screws with your head.

[ those are... definitely the words of a girl with a little more experience with this than Skyla's short life in the Bastion so far would suggest. ]

[ It's nothing accusatory - Naegi's actually kind of impressed as he stares at her in awe before going silent, glancing up at the sky and closing his eyes.

Eventually he lets out a quiet sigh, smiling a little as he felt his own spirit being lifted. Not moving forward unless he could accept that, really. ]

You're right, though... why dwell on it too much? Just gotta focus on what you can change instead, otherwise you just freeze up and do nothing otherwise...

That'll be because I do. S'not the first time I've ended up somewhere that's not mine.

[ though if the whole 'apocalypse' thing has any truth to it, it'll probably be the last. ]

[ well, that was exactly the wrong thing to say, because the instant the words leave his mouth, Skyla's immediately twists into a scowl and her expression as a whole shifts towards distinct grumpiness and she folds her arms across her chest, immediately and obviously defensive. ]

That grumpy look gets distinctly grumpier, and she gives a little huff of annoyance. ]
