[Someone has been busy today. The kitchen and Distillery has been noisy and bustling, a departure from the much more quiet days when the illness was spreading through the Bastion and survival was once more on the uncertain scale of things. Somewhere around the time that the night cycle begins, when the sky is more of an orange-ish glow fading in to blue and purple, a large spread of food has been set up near the Distillery with glass lanterns hanging overhead.

Just like any other time there has been a feast be it random or planned, there is a wide selection of food on the covered, decorated tables. There's even meat this time! And yes, Aoi, your doughnuts have been transferred from your trees to a platter on the table. There's even a section for Paar, complete with massive amounts of bbq'd mammoth meat! You can thank Colin for that.

There's really no announcement for the feast, but chances are if you're outside at any point today you'll see the progress towards the set up, or smell the delicious scents wafting over the Bastion. (There might even be music playing, if Colin finds a way to provide it!)

Either way, come dusk food will be ready and mingling will be had!]

SHING AND KOHAKU | OPEN TO ALL

[ Despite the chaos of the past however long (Kohaku hadn't exactly been keeping track), it was really nice to see something good like this happening in the Bastion. Even better, something really wonderful had happened to Kohaku in the past couple of days: Shing was here. He was here, and he was alive, and she was able to be with him again. Even when she had given up all hope of him being alive, he had found some way to beat the odds once more.

She couldn't have been happier.

Well, maybe she could have. But right now, she was the happiest she had ever remembered being.

Since he had arrived, she and Shing had been practically attached at the hip. She'd been explaining everything to him (which ... wasn't all good news, obviously, but at least they could deal with it together now), and showing him around, and now they were here at the party together.

She held his hand in hers tightly, leading him through the crowds excitedly.

She might be a little too excited. Did she bump into you? Did she make him bump into you? Are they being too lovey-dovey in your personal space?

Whatever it is, you've got the derp couple to deal with now. ]

[ Needless to say, while he was still trying to adjust to being in the Bastion - especially after finding out the nature of this place - Shing had more or less had somewhat of a rough time of things, though he was thankful that Kohaku was here to make the transition easier.

Neither of them had left the other's side for long - as it had been back home. All the more so since they were the only ones the other had now, but... it was still more preferable than either of them being left alone.

Especially since Kohaku had been the first to arrive here - Shing felt badly that she'd gone through so much without him, but. That was in the past, now, and he'd definitely make it up to her.

So now here they were at the party, more or less just being a completely shameless derp couple at everything and everyone. Yep. Just like home again. ]

Wow... is this Bastion place always this crowded?

[ So many people from so many different worlds here! It's kind of impressive, in a way... ]

Not always! Most of the time people are a lot more spread out and doing their own things. I think we're kind of celebrating life or something, though, because this is the second party we've had in a matter of days.

[ Never letting go of Shing's hand, ever, ever ~ She stays close to him, leaning a little on him as they walked. ]

We should try some of the food! I think Rin probably had a hand in making it since she's feeling better now, and she cooks really well! Oh, I'm going to have to introduce you to Rin, she's a lot like you ...

I see... must've been something big if everyone's doing nothing but partying about it.

[ Shing, you have no idea. ]

Ah, that sounds good! I wanna meet her now, she sounds like the kind of person I'd love to meet...

We all just survived a plague. I'd say that's pretty big.

You'll really like her food! She's the head chef here for a reason! Though I hope she didn't overdo it by cooking for this, she's still recovering ...

[ SHING SHE JUST SAID EVERYONE SURVIVED though to be fair, he's still getting used to things here and is more concerned about you at the moment, so. ]

Hm... I'm looking forward to it, but I hope she's okay. If it's only been a few days since she should really be resting up, right?

[ She laughs a little bit. ]

I'm fine, Shing! Nobody died, everyone's fine. That's why we're celebrating.

[ She nods in response to the well-wishes for Rin, though. It's just like Shing to be worried about someone he hasn't met yet. ]

Yeah, she was one of the ones who got really sick. I hope she had some help in doing all of this ...

Ah... that's good, then. That's a good reason to celebrate, if anything...

[ He nods quietly in agreement, then pauses for a bit as he thinks of something. ]

... maybe we should check in on her first before we get something to eat, then? Just to make sure she's, well, alive and all.

She's tough. She's probably alive, but I wouldn't be surprised if she were super worn out or something ...

... Maybe we should check on her.

Yeah... it shouldn't take too long, right? Plus, it'd be a good time as any for me to meet Rin for myself, too...

Well, we need to find her first. Depending on where she is, it may take some time. It's worth it, though.

[Kohaku does bump into her, but Anya doesn't say anything about it at first because it's a crowded enough gathering and bumping is bound to happen. It does draw her attention to the pair, though, and shortly she is going to speak up.]

Wow, look at you two.

It's the beginning of the relationship, isn't it?

[ She opens her mouth to apologize for bumping into the other lady, but she's stopped by what Anya said. She looks to Shing, then back to Anya with a bit of a sheepish smile. ]

Kind of ...? We hadn't been together for very long back in our own world, before everything happened ... we were just reunited in the last couple of days, though.

Yeah... I only just arrived recently, so I missed a lot... there's no way I wouldn't have found Kohaku eventually, though. I care about her too much to let something like this stop me.

[ It may sound like an attempt at a joke but Shing really does mean every word of it. EIther way, he joins Kohaku in glancing at Anya before nodding in agreement with Kohaku, but then he pauses as he glances at Kohaku curiously. ]

... she's a friend of yours, I take it?

[Shing could sound like the most sincere person in the world, and Anya would still be skeptical. She has entirely too much experience with break-ups, mostly other people's. She addresses Kohaku.]

Things are probably great now, but men have a habit of inevitably ripping your heart out, so when that day comes, please remember I know a lot of curses.

.... [ Well. That's. Not something she was expecting to hear. Kohaku moved a little closer to Shing. ]

Ah ... thank you, but I think we'll be fine. We've been through a lot together already.
