[Day 212] Well it woulda been coulda been worse than you would ever know... [OPEN]
Who: Everyone!
Open: Open
When: Day 212, evening
Where: in front of the Distillery
What: No one died during the horrible plague scare! That's reason enough for a feastand a mingle log right?
Format: Any!
Warnings: Shouldn't be any but will adjust if needed

[Someone has been busy today. The kitchen and Distillery has been noisy and bustling, a departure from the much more quiet days when the illness was spreading through the Bastion and survival was once more on the uncertain scale of things. Somewhere around the time that the night cycle begins, when the sky is more of an orange-ish glow fading in to blue and purple, a large spread of food has been set up near the Distillery with glass lanterns hanging overhead.
Just like any other time there has been a feast be it random or planned, there is a wide selection of food on the covered, decorated tables. There's even meat this time! And yes, Aoi, your doughnuts have been transferred from your trees to a platter on the table. There's even a section for Paar, complete with massive amounts of bbq'd mammoth meat! You can thank Colin for that.
There's really no announcement for the feast, but chances are if you're outside at any point today you'll see the progress towards the set up, or smell the delicious scents wafting over the Bastion. (There might even be music playing, if Colin finds a way to provide it!)
Either way, come dusk food will be ready and mingling will be had!]
(ooc: Standard mingle log right here. Throw your threads up, poke other people's threads, and eat all the food!)

[Floette is perched on Torkoal's back, eating some vegetables, and Torkoal is eating some meat. Sigilyph is eating some berries nearby, and Eevee...]
[Well, Eevee is scampering around and trying to meet new people, but she might run into people or trip them instead. Whoops.]
no subject
Your appetite's back, eh?
[He gives Floette, Torkoal, and Sigilyph warm smiles then.]
You three, I'll be making some berry smoothies a little later for all the Pokemon. You're all welcome to one. Or more. As is Golurk, if he can enjoy them.
[He's seen robots that can eat and ENJOY food before, so he's not about to make any assumptions that might exclude someone.]
no subject
Golurk doesn't eat. It keeps going on strange energy that no one in my world's been able to pinpoint yet.
no subject
[Colin grins.]
Everyone else seems to be having a good time, though.
no subject
[He nods at the latter statement, though.]
They are. Eevee is... somewhere. Watch your step.
no subject
[Colin looks off in the direction he last saw Golurk.]
Boy, did he ever get on the good side of the wrong elf, then...
[He smirks at AZ again, and he looks around curiously.]
That's right, I forgot about Eevee. Normally she's hiding in your pocket, isn't she?

Let her hang around Zorua and the other youngsters, and they'll figure enough out, and tire themselves out in the process.
I was actually thinking of building a playground and exercise course for the daycare. With so many youngsters, they could probably really use it...

[He gives Torkoal a smile.]

[Torkoal looks up and smiles at Colin.]

Likewise, I doubt that Floette would get much use out of something built big enough for the others. Micro-construction is easy for me, but I don't know what she would like to be happy with.

[As she makes her way to an empty chair she feels something bump against her boot, prompting her to glance down. The girl had heard of the strange creatures others in the Bastion kept but this was her first time seeing one up close. Edea can only assume its owner is close by.]
Oh, and who do we have here? [It's said affectionately as she crouches down to get a better look, careful not to put her plate in the Pokemon's path.]
no subject
Vrii! Eevriii!
[She reaches up her front paws to try to get at her legs or her knees or something in that area.]
no subject
You must be one of those Pokemon I've heard about.
no subject
Vrii vrii!
no subject
Your master isn't too far away, I take it?

So long as you're not getting into too much mischief. Although I bet someone as cute as you could get into a lot of it and get away with it.
[She grins wider and tilts her head to the side.]
Will you be joining me for dessert or is this where we say goodbye?

[You might be able to convince her to play once she's full. But that might take a while.]

You'll be waiting a while, if that's what you're up to. Whoever did the cooking is absolutely marvelous and I intend to enjoy every bite of it!
