[Maybe it was due to the stress of dealing with the whole cure thing and the having to go find Ura and get back to the Bastion. Maybe he was just tired of thinking of how much he missed Rachel and the others. Or maybe he was just done with the weird animals here.]

[Whatever the reason, Tobias did something he didn't normally do - he morphed dolphin, splashing around in the lake in Dragonfield and nosing at rocks and basically making a bunch of noise. It is entirely possible for him to be seen flailing around, or occasionally in hawk morph resting. Is he going to use all of his morphs today on dolphin time? Yes. Yes he is.]

<Yeah no. While I wasn't on that mission, the others ran into some actual mind-reading aliens. It was... bad.>

...I guess it'd be even worse with someone you were fighting.

<Well, there's the fact that the people we're fighting don't know that most of us are human. They think we're an alien race. We'd like to let them keep thinking that.>

[Roxas takes a minute trying to figure out why that would matter. Where he comes from it pretty much boils down to whether you've got a heart, not what race you are.]

You mean... so they don't have a reason to attack other humans?

<Yeah, pretty much. The others have families that would be in danger - they'd be attacked to try to hurt them.>

I guess I've never really had to worry about that.

No, I meant, um... I just never had parents or anything to begin with.

It's- pretty weird, but... [Maybe not weirder than being a person who turned into a hawk and stuff?]

I was born from another person. We kind of- split, only he stayed him, and I became- me.

[... Okay no that is pretty weird, but still.]

<That's... not something that I've ever heard of, but there's a lot of things I haven't heard of.>

It's rare where I come from. At least for us to still- look like people.

[And even rarer for the original person to still be around, but Sora is all kinds of special.]

[What do you even say to something like that?]

Well, there's a couple- lesser Nobodies here. Um, they're all grey and mostly people-shaped but they don't really have faces, or- bones, I'm pretty sure.

[There is just no way to be that flexible and still have bones.]

<... Oh, those things. I've seen them, but I didn't know what they were.>

Yeah. They're- like me.

<... Do they talk?>

Sort of. You wouldn't be able to hear them.

But- they should understand you just fine.

<Oh, good. Thought speech works across language barriers, but it'd be kind of weird to say something to someone who won't understand.>

They're not the best at conversations. They're used to just taking orders.

<But do they want to take orders?>

...I think it's easier for them. They don't- really remember how to be people.

<... Oh. That's... that sounds pretty terrible.>

Talking to other people and stuff should help, though. I mean, I was kind of a zombie at first myself.

<It... does help, yeah. I probably would have lost it myself if I didn't have people who kept talking to me after I got stuck as a hawk.>
