THE POOL'S HEEEEEERE!

[—is what everyone is going to hear as Aoi sprints across the Bastion. She flings her sweatshirt off, leaves it on the ground as she goes, and launches herself through the doors of the new building not far from the forge.

Anyone nearby will hear a resounding SPLASH through the doors, left wide open, as Aoi cannonballs into the deep end of the pool, shorts and tank top and all.

If anyone checks in on her, she's swimming rapid laps from one end of the pool to the other down the middle of the center lane, pausing at the ends every now and again to laugh, absolutely delighted, and wave at anyone who's shown up.] C'mon in, the water's fine!

No. [Crona's trying to think about pools. It's not really working well.]

Um... how do you compete in a pool?

[Crona's experience with competition is sparring and basketball.]

You race, of course! There are few different styles, and you pick one and see who does the number of laps you decide on fastest! Can you swim?

[blackblooded]

No. Um, Ragnarok's metal, so I don't float enough to swim. That's what Lady Medusa said.

[amphibian]

Hmmm... So you know what we need, right?! [The look on her face asks for an answer, but she doesn't wait quite long enough to get one.] Flotation devices! Like, an inner tube! I dunno if there's anything like that around here... But we could definitely get one with shards!

I don't know what that looks like. I have a lot of shards though, i-if you want to get one.

[amphibian]

It's like...picture a donut, okay? [Aoi can we PLEASE have ONE POST without donuts, HONESTLY] But it's a big enough donut that a person fits through the hole! And instead of it being made out of donut, it's filled with air so that it floats. So if you get one of those, you can come swimming!

[blackblooded]

[Crona is trying to imagine this. It's not working.]

Um.... I-if you could buy it.

[amphibian]

Sure thing! It was my idea, after all. But in the meantime...even if you can't float, you'll be fine if you stay in the shallow end, right?

[blackblooded]

Um... [Crona fidgets with some assorted article of clothing (and there are a lot of them currently on the meister).]

I think maybe my skirt would get really heavy.

[amphibian]

Then get some shorts, silly! You've gotta have something more practical than that to wear, right?

[blackblooded]

... this is practical. [Which means no.]

[amphibian]

Not practical enough if you can't go swimming in it! Well, you can borrow a pair of my shorts if you want. [She sighs melodramatically.] I'll have to buy everyone swimsuits, too! Inner tubes, swimsuits... I should get pool toys, too!

People would like that, I think.

[amphibian]

Ah, you think so? Then I'll have to get 'em right away! As soon as I'm done swimming today! Hey, what else do you think the pool could use?

Um... I don't....

A slide! [Clearly, Ragnarok has interacted with pools before, even if Crona hasn't.]

[amphibian]

No one asked you! [Even if that actually sounds like a really good idea. How many shards would that cost..?]

...But...I guess a slide might be fun.

[blackblooded]

No one asked me 'cause you're both idiots!

[amphibian]

If you're gonna call names, then forget about me spending any of my shards on a slide!

[blackblooded]

Crona can't swim anyway, moron!

[amphibian]

That's what the inner tube's for! Learn to listen!

You can't take an inner tube down a slide, idiot!

W-well, you could if it was wide enough! Or if it was a water slide!

...Oh, hey! [Momentarily distracted from the fact that Ragnarok is terrible by the realization that there is nothing standing between her and a freaking water slide—] I could get a water slide!

What's a water slide? [And that's two voices at once. Ragnarok and Crona both want to know what's going on.]

[amphibian]

You don't know what a water slide is?! [She turns her focus to address Crona now, because Crona isn't awful.] So it's a slide, right, and usually a pretty big one, but there's a current of water going down the slide, too! So when you go down the slide, you go super fast, and land right in the pool with a big huge splash!

[blackblooded]

[Crona stares, then nods.]

That... that sounds...

that sounds like a lot of fun.
