[Haruka and Takane had some time to recover, though they had been instructed to get far more rest in the hospital for a little while longer before being let go to find their own apartment and settle in properly.
But being in the hospital was never fun.
Well, never fun for some one who didn't sleep for fifteen hours a day.
Like Takane.
For Haruka, though, he was beginning to get restless, and curious. He wanted to know what this place looked like beyond the walls of this hospital. Colin had given him a sketch pad, some pencils and even an iPad sort of device that he could do digital coloring on, but he could only draw Takane's face so many times before she threw a pillow at him and told him to draw something else.
So he waited until she was asleep (which meant he wasn't waiting long) and shuffled out of his bed, finding his legs shaky but strong enough to stand on. Items under one arm, still in his hospital tunic and pants, he made his way out of the doors.
There he stopped for a bit, just to stare at everything that was around him. There was evidence of the ruined world that Colin and the others had talked about, but there was still something amazing about what the Bastion was. The moon was high in the darkened sky above, illuminating the many buildings scattered across the massive hovering chunk of land in a pale glow. It was so pretty!
But he had seen something else out the small window in the hospital room, and after a bit of searching (and slow walking so he doesn't wear himself out) he came across the Dragonfield and the lake, that same moon shining silver against it's gently moving water.
Perfect place for a boy in a hospital tunic to drop down and start drawing, right?]

But for now, Haruka is grateful that they made it. He knows he'll miss Shintaro and Ayano, and even their teacher but... there's little they can do about that now.
He stops drawing, closing the pad.]
We can go back inside if you want.
no subject
You want to stay out here, so stay out here and draw.

[Haruka you're the one out here in a hospital tunic.]

[ Srsly Haruka. ]

It's a little chilly, but I'm fine! The hospital was really warm anyway, so the breeze feels nice to me.

[ Worry worry worry forever IT'S NOT LIKE SHE CARES ]
no subject
I won't, I won't!
[Totally waving away her worry like it's no big deal.]
no subject
You'd better not! I'm gonna give you a big "I told you so" spiel if you do!
no subject
You won't have to, Takane! P-please don't get yourself worked up!
[If you pass out he won't be able to princess carry you back.
Because he's the princess.]

Takane does calm down, though. If he insists he'll be okay, then maybe he will. He was way too carefree for his own good, though ... or at least, he acted that way. ]
Just keep drawing. Don't know when you'll be able to sneak back out here after all, especially if Yukio finds out we snuck out.
no subject
... shouldn't we be calling him Okumura-sensei? He is a doctor after all.
no subject
Takane scowls a little at what Haruka said regarding Yukio. ]
It's so weird! He's our age! He must be way smarter than even you to be a doctor at his age!
no subject
Younger, actually! He's fifteen and a genius! It's really amazing!
[Haruka sees nothing wrong with this, for some reason.]
no subject
[ There's nothing wrong ... not really. He's just younger than us and already so accomplished. It's a bit intimidating. ]
no subject
[Wow Takane such disrespect.]
no subject
[ He's younger than us, stfu. She's rude on a regular basis anyway. ]
no subject
But he's taking care of us so we should still be respectful!
no subject
[ She sounds none too happy about it, but SURE WHATEVER. She wasn't exactly happy about a lot of things right now. ]
no subject
[He's happy for you getting over your hurdles, Takane!]
no subject
no subject
... do you want to see what I've drawn? It's not you this time, I promise!
no subject
... his art never ceases to amaze her, though, so she uncurls herself a little from her current position so she can lean over and glance at his sketchbook.
that's a yes, haruka. ]
no subject
He holds up the art pad proudly, showing off a lovely sketch of the lake they're sitting near.]
no subject
You really are talented, Haruka.
[ Oh my, did she compliment him? She diiiiid. ]
no subject
Heheh... I'm glad you think so, Takane!
