Day 191 | A boy, a dog, and a goat walk into a...
Who: Calem and YOU!
Open: Like a BOOK
When: Day 191!
Where: Near the entrance to Bastion
Format: Initial post is prose but if you'd prefer brackets I'll follow format!
What: After making his way to Bastion from the Skyway, Calem and his Pokemon try and make sense of things
Calem had NO idea what was going on. Waking up in some strange place with no memory of how he got there... well it wasn't what one would call normal by any means. Especially when said strange place seemed to involve a whole lot of small islands irrationally floating about. His first concern was his pokemon however, and he immediately let his Lucario out of his ball. Much to his relief his trusted friend was alright and seemed to confirm that there was nothing wrong with his other pokemon's auras either. There was a light in the distance, though it wasn't TOO far. Without any better ideas he decided to make his way there in hopes it was some kind of civilization.
So some time later a tall young man rides through the entrance of Bastion on what appears to be a very large leafy goat, with a bipedal blue dog sitting behind him. Because Calem COULD have walked yes but all those floating islands just seamed really unsafe. The smart choice was to let his Gogoat take the lead. He was already skilled at traversing dangerous terrain, hopping from rock to rock, AND getting over those small ledges that were the bane of every trainer. It was really much safer this way. Plus even in circumstances like this he liked arriving to new places in style. And riding in atop a freshly pruned Gogoat with a colorful brand new saddle was just about as classy as you could get.
Though there WERE other concerning things to think about of course. He caught glimpses of unfamiliar creatures on his way here and was busy looking through his pokedex as Gogoat plodded onward. He couldn't find any entries that looked like what he'd seen though. With a sigh he closed the holographic device and scanned the area for someone with some answers.
"Pardon me!" he called out to someone passing by, sliding off his mount in the process (it was only polite), though Lucario remained seated up there, "Could you tell me where the nearest pokemon center is? Or... at least where I am?"
Honestly Calem was hoping for 'Dream'. Floating Islands couldn't be normal... as fascinating as they were.
Later on in the day he might be found wandering around Bastion, trying to get a feel of the lay of the town and come to terms with things, his Lucario marching loyally beside him. The observant might even notice the unusual looking key ring that was hooked onto Calem's bag. A key ring that seemed to have a mind of her own as she jingled energetically any anyone who passed by.

That guy... he's okay you think?
[ He always trusts Lucaio's opinion of people and after receiving a nod he sighs and follows, his two pokemon following after him as well. ]

Sorry about all of this ... I kind of just got out of the hospital.
no subject
His Pokemon on the other hand... ?
Well. If you're not a danger to N, they're not a danger to you. Simple as that.
He shakes his head at Hilda, giving her an actual warm smile.]
It's alright. I should have gone back to get you.

[ Calem appears to be lost in thought as he takes in this suddenly... almost LOVEY DOVEY N that's walking ahead of him. Things are starting to make a little sense here. ]
So how long have you two been dating?
no subject
Are we that obvious?
[ Yes, Hilda, you're that obvious. She does try to think, though. ]
Um ... well, we started dating before we arrived here, and we've been here for quite a while now ...
no subject
[N has no problems with them being obvious at all.]
Here we are.
[Reaching the house doesn't take long, and N opens the door in front of Zoroark so they can all go inside.
Of course the door opening is sign to all the other Pokemon about that their caretakers are home, and there's a cacophony of noise as they come inside.]

[ Lucario jabs him in the side. Because of you Calem. You were the distraction. Definitely partially at least.
...However the second they walk through the door (Gogoat being rather large flopped down outside the door) Lucario begins to look VERY alarmed at all the noises and stands protectively in front of Calem... or more specifically his BAG. ]
...Lucario don't worry no one's going to steal your treats.

[ Hilda perks up a lot as she hears all of the Pokemon. She'd really missed everyone while she was in the hospital. Zorua runs up to them barking happily, running in circles around Zoroark's feet.
Mama's home, Mama's home! Hi, Mama!
And then Zorua noticed the new arrivals. She trotted over to Calem and placed her paws on his leg, sniffing at him curiously before yipping happily up at him.
Hiiii!! ]

[N looked at Calem then, shaking his head with a slight note of irritation to his voice.]
I was returning home to get another bag for her things before returning to get her. That's when I ran in to you.
[All your fault, Calem.]
... anyway. Your larger Pokemon are welcome to the back yard where there's more room. There's food and water out there. Zoroark, let's get Hilda upstairs to bed.

Hello there. It's nice to see a friendly face.
[ He smiles and crouches down, giving her a nice little scratch behind her ears. ]

[ This is Hilda calling out to Calem from where she is with Zoroark, being carried to the bedroom. This is probably a rather amusing sight to behold.
Zorua looks over at her Mama, and then back at Calem. She enjoys Calem's attention, but ... but Mama. ]

this statement is a lie]Zoura, please stay with Calem and keep him company. I'll be back down later.
[And just because he can hear that little ball of energy-]
You can see Hilda later when she's rested.

Come now princess! If you don't accompany me then who will have one of these treats? They're only the finest pokemon treats bought from a fancy exclusive shop in Luminose!
[ Still shaking the jar tantalizingly he walked outside so he could check up on his pokemon. Even if she couldn't understand him, he hoped she'd at least be able to smell that there was something yummy in that jar. While his Furfrou and Klefki would have been fine inside he felt it wouldn't be good to let Talonflame and Lapras out inside. Giant hot birds and big water monsters were not built for buildings. Once outside he released his remaining four, breathing a sigh of relief since they all looked fine. ]
And don't think I've forgotten about you!
[ With a smile he shook a treat out and crouched down, holding it out to Zorua. ]

Hilda, meanwhile, nuzzles Zoroark a little bit from where she is in his arms. ]
Thank you, Zoroark. I'm sorry, this is such an inconvenience.
[ Something in her knows Zoroark doesn't mind much. She and Zoroark had become pretty good friends over the time she'd been reunited with N. She still felt a little bad about it, though. ]
So, N, when do you think I can have visitors? I'm not that tired. Just a little sore.
[ More than a little, but eh, she wasn't about to exaggerate that. ]

[Really, Hilda? Really?]
