Day 131: the group returns, and a new group arrives
Who: A bunch of PCs and NPCs
Open: Open
When: backdated to Day 131
Where: By the path to the Skyway, in the Bastion
What: The away group is returning, and another group is arriving for the first time.
Format: action
Warnings: none
[Day 131 would prove to be an eventful one. Not only did the away group finally return home, but barely a half-hour later a second group of people arrived as well. With all of these two and returning faces, it was bound to get a bit hectic.
But perhaps a bit of talking was all everyone needed to sort everything out.]

[The man sounds hurt, though obviously it is a fake-hurt. Hamming it up is kind of his thing.]
How could you forget us? We only saved your life and brought you to safety.

[Leave it to your own daughter to be a complete killjoy.]
We found you on the Skyway, injured and barely alive. We've returned you to the Bastion.

Her free hand moves up to the wound on her side, a barely healed wound that had once been a gaping hole when it was first inflicted on her. Of course if she were human there was no earthly way she could have survived a wound like that on top of the blood loss. Dark red stains her clothes and hands. She breathes out.] Thank you.

The very sight of Night-chan and all the blood caused the lump in his throat to drop right down to the bottom of his stomach; his face went white as a sheet and a myriad of conflicting emotions held him where he stood. Who were these people...should he be attacking them and getting Night to a safe place? No...no with how she looked, if they wanted to cause her harm, they'd have already done it. Maybe they had her as a hostage? That also seemed unlikely, the man wouldn't be holding her even near so gingerly...
By the time he could muster up the ability to move, the two were almost upon him; leaving him only a few seconds to compose his thoughts into anything rational, and when he finally did speak, he was only able to manage a few words as the rest of his brain hadn't quite caught up to him yet.]
N...night-chan! W-we need to get her to the Hospital right now...!!
[On a normal day, Ippo would have been more gracious and welcoming. On a normal day, he would have been bowing and thanking the two strangers profusely and to be fair he likely would be doing that later. On a normal day Night-chan wouldn't have been carried in beaten and bloody by two strangers looking as if she were a step away from death. But, it wasn't a normal day, it had only been one until right now.]

I agree! But you see, we're kinda new here, so we're not exactly sure where the hospital is. Think you could point us in the right direction, and maybe go alert the doctor too? I think miss princess here should see him or her right away.

[Ippo stammered out as well as his addled brain would allow, after all he was still in a mild state of shock due to seeing Night in such a horrid state. He turned and began to move as briskly towards the hospital as he could; fighting every urge of his training to just take off at full speed so he wouldn't accidentally lose the newcomers. Once inside the building he began to frantically call for Dr. Stein; he even set off to pound on all the doors after a full minute of silence, his panic growing until the final door was unceremoniously punched off of its hinges and set careening into the unoccupied room. If Dr. Stein wasn't here...then it was up to them, as much as the prospect scared him, hopefully the magical properties of the Hospital itself would help.
With nothing else for him to do, he ran back to Night and her saviors looking only slightly less panicked than before as he pointed to the nearest open room.]
T-the Doctor isn't here right now, we have to get Night on a bed quick! Do you...
[He hesitated. For a fleeting moment his words caught in his throat as he stared at the man holding Night. Yes this man and his companion had saved Night from the Skyway, but how much did he really know about them beyond that? Could he really trust the man to administer aid to his friend based just on those merits alone? Ippo thought on it for all of five seconds before he felt a sense of shame at the wariness that had crept into him since his ordeal in Jawson Bog; and what's more he didn't have the time to play on any of these emotions when ever second was life or death for Night, so he quickly swallowed the lump in his throat and asked the man the only thing that made sense to him at the moment.]
Can you help my friend sir? Anything at all...if you can, please.
[Ippo's voice choked on his last word, the desperation in his voice clear and audible to anyone in the room. He couldn't lose another friend, not again...he could only bear so much weight on his shoulders before they gave away completely. His head bowed along with the rest of his body in the most rigid bow he'd ever given another human being; his eyes were shut tight but tears were still streaming down his face as if his eyelids were nonexistent, his voice shaky and marred by the terror he felt right down to his bones. He had no way of knowing what state Night was truly in, but based on what he'd seen of her physically...she wouldn't make it without proper treatment.]
Please, don't her die, I'm begging you.
no subject
I'm no doctor, but I'll certainly try. It wouldn't be right, to have brought her this far only for her to die.
[Carrying Night on the Skyway hadn't been easy. With all the monsters, he had been forced to rely on his daughter for protection while they had run to safety. It was just lucky that they had come across the Bastion, there was no way he could have made it back to their hiding spot with an injured person.]
We'll need some supplies, though. Zanya-
[He looks back to the other Ura, the woman who had come with him.]
Could you be a dear and help us find some bandages and towels and such? And someone should get some water too, we'll need to clean up this young lady once she's all stitched up.
no subject
Thank you sir...is there anything else at all I can do to help?
[At this point, he just wanted to do anything in his power to see Night back on her feet again; he'd chop his own hands off if it meant she'd come out of this safe and sound, that much was evident just looking at him; his slightly red eyes glancing over at Night every few moments just to check up on her, as if he were afraid if he didn't remain vigilant that she would just simply vanish.]
no subject
What could have been going through her mind... ?
Whatever it was, she didn't voice it at all, simply nodding to the man.]
Yes, father. I will return shortly.
[And with that she swept out of the room to gather supplies and return with them.]
no subject
Well, we're going to need some water, but neither myself nor my daughter know where the well is. Do you think you could go grab us some? And if this young lady has any friends here, maybe alert them to the fact that their friend is back?

Laid out on a bed the change in position wakes her up, eyebrows furrowing in frustration at just how shitty she felt. Even with a hole in the gut it would take more than that to actually kill her. Death wouldn't come for her today.
A question popped in her head.
What were her savers names'? Did she even ask earlier?
She turns her head toward the voices, eyes opening.] Wait... [She frowns.] What... What are your names?
no subject
I am Zayna, and this is my father Zahi.
no subject
Night! Oh you're speaking...that's good, that's good but don't! Just...save your strength until our friend gets you patched up...just take it easy, okay?
[He wanted so much to sound sure, to sound strong right now, but his voice just wouldn't cooperate. He was still rightly terrified and there was no way of knowing how effective Zahi's treatments would be. He hadn't been this fearful in a very long time...it pierced his soul in ways he never thought he'd feel.]
no subject
A little stunned by his sincere concern she gaves him the best reassuring smile she could muster and reached up to gently set her hand over his on her shoulder.] I'll be fine, Ippo. Don't worry, okay?
no subject
[An odd sort of expression flickered across her face, gaze shifting briefly to Night's exposed tail, and then to Ippo, seemingly studying some of his facial features curiously.]
You are not Caeldonian, are you?
no subject
[Night follows her expression, her hand falling away from Ippo's back to resting on her chest.] No, we aren't.
no subject
[Nothing more is said on the matter, but Zayna does pass a glance to her father briefly.]
Once we have your bandages changed we can leave you to rest.
