What: Saix thinks he needs a back up weapon, and starts immediately on going to make it

With a lack of moon in Bastion, Saix knows that he's no longer at his full strength. If he were better with magic, he could augment his battle skills with that... But it's never been his strong point. It's not a pleasant thing to be weakened. So, of course, Saix has decided he won't settle for it. After going to talk with the local smith, he's made an agreement with the other.

It just so happens that he's decided to drag along his fellow Nobodies as well.

[...he still feels like he's missing something. He kind of figured wanting his heart back is the only reason Saix would try acting like a normal person. But even admitting that much seems like a lot to ask out of him, so... whatever.

Axel why are you bringing that up.]

Sensitive? That's hard to imagine.

[Well, maybe touchy.]

Compared to you two, I'm nothing but stone. You are far more sensitive.

[Although... After talking with Maka and now Viola, perhaps he should work on that? Being so withdrawn and dishonest is apparently what's gotten him into this mess.. Sigh. Saix supposes this is the sort of thing where there's nothing else to do but learn as he goes along.]

Now, are you going to get up or not?

[flared]

[He shrugs then after pushing himself up onto his feet Axel stretches... and ends up draping his arms over both Saix and Roxas' shoulders. Oddly affectionate today, isn't he? Probably because he had a fairly good nap.]

I was just about to. No need to get upset about it, Cranky.

[Axel turns to Roxas then and gives him a little shake.]

So, where to first? Nowhere too scary, I hope. Don't wanna frighten the little guy here.

[Yes, that means you, bestie. Hahahaha.]

[Uh. Well this is weird to be sort of hugged at the same time as Saix.

Also, excuse him while he elbows you, bestie. Gosh.]

You asking for a new head injury?

[While Roxas elbows Axel, Saix comes in from the other side with a hard pinch at those skinny ribs of his. Excuse you, who's Cranky?]

You'll only make the problem worse, Roxas. Save your effort.

As for our destination, I've overheard that there's a Wharf where we might find supplies, if it's ever something we need to do. I will be looking for some items myself, as a matter of fact.

[flared]

[Ow! Hey, now that's not very nice, Rox-- OW! Now that's not very nice, Saix!

Despite all that rudeness, however, Axel doesn't let up and keeps his arms right where they are. He'll even lean over to rest his cheek atop Roxas' head for a second. Hmph.]

Like what kind of items?

[All right. Roxas doesn't mind being a headrest. In fact if Saix weren't there, he might put his arm around Axel in return.

Instead he just quiets and waits for an answer to Axel's question.]

Well, I'll be looking for...

[He starts to list off the items Stewart told him about.]

I'm going to have a gun made for myself.

[flared]

[Oh, come on, Roxas. It's not like Saix would care if you did. Right, Saix?]

A gun?

[Axel hums in thought.]

That doesn't sound like it would suit you very much.

[Roxas isn't so sure about that, bestie. Anyway after Saix's laugh fest over his feelings, he's not keen on providing any reminders.]

What do you need a gun for?

It doesn't. I much prefer melee combat. However...

[He points up at the sky... or what constitutes as a sky here, anyway. It's all rather up in the air. Literally.]

This World is lacking a moon. I'm at a disadvantage now when it comes to any battles we may get into. If there is any a time that I should learn a new skill, now seems right.

[flared]

[Axel looks up toward the sky then hums quietly in thought.]

Sure is an awful lot of work involved in getting yourself going here, huh?

[He turns to Roxas now.]

Don't tell me you're thinking of getting a gun too.

[He would say "of course not," but, well. Saix is doing it.]

I don't think I'd like a gun.

[croceamors]

You two are more proficient at magic than I am, even beyond your respective elements. I suppose it's less of an issue for you both.

[Saix... Well. He's always preferred physical combat to magical. It's never something he had any particular talent in.]

[flared]

Nah, can't say I can see you wielding a gun either, man.

[Anything other than a Keyblade would just look weird with Roxas, to be honest. At least in Axel's mind. He's too used to it.

At Saix's comments he lets out a little laugh.]

Is that a compliment I hear? Wow, you really are getting better at this.

[Fair enough. Even a sword would probably seem strange.

And he'll just- not mention the part where he's forgotten most of the magic Saix is talking about.]

Shouldn't we get going?

[Before this gets any weirder.]

It's a simple fact. Don't make me regret saying it.

Take some advice from the teenager younger then you and stay focused.

[Hope you aren't trying to hold onto him too tightly, Axel, because he's going to just get a move on now.]

[flared]

Fine, fine. Geez.

[Axel picks up the pace and walks with the two of them, and, no, he will not be lowering his arms anytime soon. What? It's comfortable and it makes sure they all stick together in this strange new world, right? Axel sees nothing wrong with it.]

But... I gotta admit something. I'm kinda looking forward to a little spot of fighting again, you know? It's been a while since I've done any of that.

[Well. If Axel's going to keep it up then Roxas will slip an arm around him. It just makes it a little easier to walk together okay.

Let's just hope they don't start doing wizard steps and singing together.]

You think we're gonna run into anything that tough?

If you want to do something besides sleep, I'm certain I wouldn't mind whipping you back into proper shape. We might nearly be on equal level now.

[He's not saying that to be a dick... Okay, maybe a little, but he's also trying to get back into the habit of friendly teasing. This is how you do it, isn't it?]

As for whatever we encounter, I doubt it. From what I understand, most of the already explored areas have been cleared out of anything too strong. I was warned not to go to a place called Jawson's Bog, however.
