[Nanaki was not one to stay put and out of danger. After the seriousness of the situation had set in, she had decided to start exploring some, to branch out and see what actually is left of the world. Eventually this meant going beyond the boundaries of the Bastion and out to the Skyway itself.

Nanaki was not a fighter, though, so she did not go far. She only went out to the closest area, so she could still run to safety if there was trouble. And, of course, the first thing she ran into was trouble.

Roughly ten minutes after she leaves the Bastion, she returns, looking more than a little startled. She'll be going up to anyone nearby to ask them a very important question.]

So, um.

Did you know that there's giant fuzzy elephants out there?

No, they have like...fur, I guess. Long fur, everywhere.

[Elephants in sweaters would be cute, though.

[ He shrugs and gets up. ]

[ He pauses a moment and actually looks thoughtful for a very brief moment. ]

Actually let's get some rope first!

I'm gonna ride one!

[ He has not done a bad idea thing since coming to this place, he is waaaay overdue. ]

[Bad ideas are still bad, and Nanaki has to be the responsible one.]

You can't ride one, they're wild animals!

[ gdi no don't be responsible, just like this OOONE time. ]

Elephants are fucking smart as hell though. Like they never forget ANYTHING. So obviously they'll see how much cooler they are with me.

That or they'll hate you for trying to ride them and they'll step on you.

[The responsibility is strong with this one, though she is sure Devit won't listen.]

But if you're going to do it anyway, I might as well go so I can drag you to the hospital afterwards.

[That person might look a little familiar to Nanaki, though the signature messy hair seems quite a bit longer. It might be kind of hard to tell that this is a girl she's talking to, since hair aside Rin is actually wearing pants and a teeshirt at the moment.

She was carrying a basket of some sort of strange fruit in her arms, and the question had her quite confused until it dawned on her what the girl meant.]

Oh! Yeah, they're mammoths.

[totally normal, right?]

[At least there's no skirt, Nanaki would have asked why Rin was cross-dressing.

As it is, she does recognize Rin, even with the longer hair.]

Rin?! No way, you made it here too?

Uhm... s-sorry, I don't think I know you. Are you one of the ones from that... Vatheon place?

Yeah, a bunch of us came from there. But I didn't see you with everyone else-

[Which would mean this Rin is a different Rin, and doesn't remember everything that happened. Sadness.]

So I guess you don't remember fighting the zombie mermaids or anything?

... pretty sure I'd remember somethin' as cool as that!

I've been here for months. And Roxas told me that the Rin you guys knew was a boy, so...
