[ Two days. Two long, agonizing days filled with worrying, punctuated only by freak bouts of shyness followed by personal irritation. ]
[ Two days she had been trying to talk herself into visiting Jazz and two days she had spent convincing herself of weird he would find that. Of course they were friends, but Viola was sure he was being well cared for and he didn't need her hanging around when he was trying to rest and get well.
[ There was a lot of activity buzzing around the hospital-- Viola had noticed this every time she came and went, milling around the front doors and peering in anxiously before darting out of view again. She wouldn't even go inside to get her own wounds checked. Not that they were serious-- a few cuts and a mean-looking gash on her thigh were nothing she couldn't take care of on her own, even without her healing abilities. ]
[ Instead of facing her friend or getting her bandages changed, Viola was milling around at the Ranch, leaning against the fence and watching two lonely cows grazing. Arco sat on the fence, washing his face with his paws. ]
[ Viola heaved another heavy sigh for the umpteenth time in the past two days. ] I hope my poor little goats are okay.

[What is even happening to this conversation]

[ This is the kind of logical disconnect that happens when strange worlds are mashed together. Hello, culture clash. ]

"Rin" is a totally normal girl's name in Japan! No one picked on me for my name! 'sides they were usually too busy goin' after Yuki 'cause she was a nerd and cried a lot.

I'm sorry, it's just weird. I didn't think other worlds would be so weird. [ Viola's scope of imagination is a bit lacking. ]

I'unno, I think it's a little weird to be named after music and instruments and stuff.
[tact, Rin. omg...]
... b-but uhm... [achem] There's a lotta people from different worlds here, y'know? We're all tryin' to get used to each other.

I guess so... [ It's a half-hearted agreement. ] I figured there'd be weird traditions and stuff, but not weird names. I thought that kind of thing was just everywhere.

Well... music names ain't weird to you, Japanese names ain't weird to me. That's just the places we grew up in, right? I mean... it's... not what I'm used to but I think it's a pretty name. Viola, I mean.
[She's always been a little iffy on hers. Name meanings aside "Rin" is kind of on the more boring side of the scale where she's from.]
