Blow it if you need to alert everyone. You probably heard how loud it is sometime over the past week.
[Rob will head into the medical tent as well.]

[... But he watches the children for a moment and then smiles slightly, before returning to his watch. At least they can feel relaxed enough to play for now.]

Zed is in the medical tent. He has healed up by now, but the electrocution scrambled his brain a bit, and he is getting checked over by the doctor there.
Zee and Vee are there too for checkups, but they are on the far side of the tent, out of earshot.]
So. I've been told we are threatened?
[He says without looking at the group, as the doctor is checking his eye dilation at the moment.]

[Straight and to the point.]
I have the letter here, it was pinned to a tree with a knife. It's in a language called English, though, so I do not know if anyone in your camp will be able to read it. I can show you the letter if you would like to verify it anyway.
We received it a couple of days ago.
They want the prisoners we took from the attack that they sprung on you before. We wanted to come sooner to warn you, but we believe that there are agents nearby observing your camp. And observing ours. We needed to wait until their manpower would be further divided so as to minimize the chances that they would be able to threaten you if we warned you.

They knew where we lived, so they used us as leverage against you. They're smarter than I thought.
Are you taking the prisoners back to them?
no subject
We sent one of the prisoners just as a gesture of good faith, but we're not just going to blindly roll over to murderers. We're looking to buy time and negotiate a cessation of hostilities, though I'm not really sure how effective it will be. From our interrogations, the group is pretty solidly against peaceful coexistence. And just personally, I suspect they've got a Mancer pulling their strings.
The threatened to "burn the camp", exact phrasing, if you want to know what your camp might be dealing with. I don't actually know if they meant your camp, but yours is the only one we actually know about.
We'll gladly stick around to help out, if you want us to, but I think we'll all understand if you would prefer to handle things your own way. We just wanted to make sure that you and your people were warned and could be prepared for anything that happened. Especially after last time...
[He's trying to be open and helpful here, but he's definitely concerned, and not the least bit happy with what's been happening recently, and it probably shows in his face.]

I would suggest cooperation on both fronts. You three stay here and help watch the edges of the camp for any signs of trouble, and I will send a few scouts to go help your men at the prisoner exchange. If we present ourselves as a united front, that may intimidate them.
no subject
[He nods then.]
But I do think your offer is very generous. We will be more than willing to stick around and assist with watch. Just so you're aware, we've actually got five of us here. Alucard, Rob, and myself.
[He gestures to his companions.]
Ryu is outside, keeping watch in case our warning makes someone do something stupid... And Paarthurnax is on overwatch in the distance.
We really wanted to make sure your camp was safe.
[He gives a nervous laugh at that.]
If you can spare the eyes, the negotiations are taking place at Roathus Lagoon. Our diplomat, Ghaleon, is leading that group. I think Zulf was too worried about your well-being to be confident in his ability to negotiate well...
no subject
I will send five of mine to your other group, then. Where are they meeting for this exchange?
no subject
All I know is that they said "The Lagoon". No more details were given. I have to assume that there would be some indication on the approach of where to go once our people arrived.
They probably didn't want us observing their group or setting up a trap. Or to give them the opportunity to set up their own trap. Probably both.
I do apologize that I don't have more to give you on that front... The others have been quite clever and more than a little devious.
no subject
[Zed nods to one of the men in the tent, and the man nods in return before running off.]
We can spring a trap of our own, once your men and women are out of harm's way.
no subject
[Colin smiles in gratitude.]
I'd like to try and take them alive, we've got a lot of unanswered questions, but if it comes down to it, I'd rather see a threat eliminated than ask questions of them.
Speaking of questions, though.... Have any of your people observed anything unusual these past few days?
I'm a little more concerned about sabotage than I am of direct attack. It takes a lot less effort to break something than to hurt someone. I'm going to check out the water supply for tampering once we finish here, for example.
