Entry tags:
lap seven // day 270 (open)
Who: Aoi and every resident of the Bastion she can get her hands on.
Open: HELL YEAH
When: Throughout day 270
Where: WHEREVER YOU ARE; she's hunting people down!
What: Aoi has big plans and a small amount of time and she needs everyone's help to make this party happen!
Format: Action tags preferred, but I'll match!
Warnings: N/A
[As soon as the travel party set out towards the Bastion, Aoi decided what needed to be done. It didn't have to be anything too extravagant, especially since she'd be focusing on making it happen as soon as possible without any pre-planning, but a welcome party for the group of Ura who had come to stay with them was absolutely necessary.
She stayed up late last night putting together something like a plan: scribbling lists of what they'd need, what to do—a tall order, certainly, given all the Bastion's residents, but she wanted the party thrown as soon as possible. If she waited too long, it wouldn't be a welcome party anymore!
With enough help, though, she could get it done in a day.
And that's why Aoi's scurrying up and down the Bastion today. If she hasn't disappeared to go work on her own contributions, she's darting in and out of the public buildings, jogging across the open fields, and heading right in the direction of absolutely anyone she sees—except, of course, their newest residents; she's got a good enough head on her shoulders to be friendly when she passes by any members of the new group of Ura instead of actively avoiding them, but they can't know about the party. A surprise is the only way to go!
So she'll be reaching out to all of the Bastion's other residents—seriously, all of them, even those she doesn't know so well. A group effort is the only thing that's going to make this happen, after all!]
Hey! Hey, you! I need your help! [She'll run over to anyone she spots anywhere, glance around furtively to make sure none of the new Ura can listen in on her top secret party plans, lower her voice, and lean in.]
I wanna throw a party.
(( ooc: Partylog will be a separate post made later! Timing-wise, Aoi will be recruiting assistance throughout the day so that decorations and food and such are prepared, just not put out, and either having people stay up late or wake up early to help put things out during the night so the party's ready the following morning, but we'll probably handwave the actual set-up unless anyone is particularly inclined to threading it out. Tags and partylog might be delayed depending on how bad the blizzard I am smack-dab in the middle of messes with the power. ))

[Notice how she's not volunteering for decorations or things to do because she's still lost on those.]

damn it]
They're like...strips of real long, thin paper, and you hang them on stuff like banners so that everything's more colorful!

I guess we'll need some- poles to hang them on, first. [Right?? Aoi are you sure you want to entrust her with this.]

Oooh, good thinking! We can pin 'em to the edges of the tables and stuff, too, and around the tree branches so we'll have 'em all over the place.

Okay.
...what about lanterns?

[She sounds all manner of unsure, but come on, Zuko, it's just some banner things and a few lanterns. It's not like she's never hung anything up before.]

Right. I won't let you down.
