Day 203 | The sick are recovering! (Open)

WHAT: The cure has been found and administered. Check up on the sick, why don't you?
WHERE: The hospital

WARNINGS: Recovering people, probable sass, and of course, Colin.



After six days of paranoia, and three days of absolute terror, things were finally looking up. A cure had been delivered, and with it, the calamity survivors had been able to synthesize more than enough doses of cure for the plague to safeguard the Bastion. It had been administered to the sick, and now all that was needed was to make sure that everyone recovered.

Colin, of course, was going to be visiting everyone to make sure that there weren't any complications. It wouldn't do to have anyone in danger after they'd made it through to the end. He had yet to take off his environmental suit though, his own paranoia was significant.

(OOC: I figure this will be a good opportunity for people to do a little more mingling, and get their bearings after the plague. The quarantine has been lifted, though Colin still wants people washing their hands frequently. If you want Colin to check up on the sick, he can do that! If you want someone else to check up on the sick, by all means! The threat is passed, now rejoice, hug your sick loved ones, and let's move on!)

[Squint. Saix isn't the worst of the patients by far, and with the cure gotten, well, he's certainly recovering and not as bad as he could be. Still not in his usual top shape, however, which is why he's still laying down in bed.]</

The most comforting thing anyone has ever said to me.

[What does it say about his life that that statement is sort of true?]

I could be throwing up along with the fever, so clearly not as bad as it could be. [He lets his eyes close. The world is kind of dizzy and shitty right now.] I'm also not in the worst stages, so that helps.

So do you enjoy ordering other people around or are you just afraid you're going to owe me things?

I do like ordering people around, actually. I also let people off easy if I like them.

What are you thinking of when you say 'elemental magic'? Like your friend with the fire?

If setting people on fire and being smug about it is something you enjoy, fire is an option.

[The water is very carefully put to the side, Saix damned determined not to drop it and look like an ass. After that, well, his arm just goes over his eyes like blocking out all light will help make him feel NOT shitty.]

Air... Ice. Earth. Water. Lightning. Plantlife. Easiest to start with.

Well... [She hasn't so much set people on fire as indirectly caused them to catch on fire, but that's probably semantics.] I have enjoyed it in the past, but I don't think I would anymore. There are unpleasant smells and other sensations involved. [Like feeling bad for them.]

Anyway it seems a little whimsical to just pick an element and go with it.

Water. Ice. Multiple uses, and most people have a vast percentage of water in their bodies.

You're right, I could probably find a spell to shrivel someone right up, if I had any decent books.
