[The group going to the Ura camp left early in the morning. However, Day 322 is far from uneventful. Come mid-afternoon, Nathaniel can be heard shouting, trying to get the attention of anyone he can.]

HEY! That thief got into the storage again! This time they didn't just take compasses, but amulets too!

[ She was on her way to the hospital to go visit Haruka because as much as she wanted to stay there by his side constantly, she was being strongly encouraged to go home when she started passing out on his bed. That was when she happened across Nathaniel. ]

Is the thief stealing compasses from the rich and giving amulets to the poor?

If it's a nice theft... maybe thief-chan is going to make something cool with the compasses and amulets! Like a cool and stylish watch that puts all features together in one package, but with added features! And video games, too!

Me too! Colin kind of made something that simulated one but it's not really the same as any of the games I played back home ...

Nathaniel lets them go on for awhile before clearing his throat.]

Do you mind focusing for a moment? This is serious!

If people were taking them to use them, then I wouldn't mind. But the last time this happened, someone tossed them all off the edge of the Bastion!

[ She's a narcoleptic, dude. How the hell is she gonna help without falling over asleep whenever her body decides it's convenient? ]

Yeah, Ibuki has no idea what-oh, wait...

This suddenly reminds Ibuki of something...

Hey, Nate-chan, can you think of anybody around here that has a name that means First Son or something like that??

Well I was hoping someone might have seen something, since it probably just happened. Did you see anyone near the shed?

[As to Ibuki's question, Nathaniel has to think on it for a moment.]

First Son....Pyth, maybe? Pyth is the first son of Micia, the Lorn Mother. I'm not so knowledgeable about the mythos of the Gods, Zulf or Zahi would probably know better, but I think that's how it goes.

Though for someone to name their kid 'Pyth' would be weird. Soldiers pray to him before battle, so you would essentially be setting your kid up to be a fighter all his life.

... oh, Nate-chan, speaking of the first son thing, Ibuki asked because of the phone thing! Zero-chan from the phone thing was talking about how somebody called First Son or something thought that Ibuki should've known that somebody was going to lead them to the Bastion?? Except Ibuki hadn't heard about that? It was a pretty weird thing, totally suspicous, except they said First Son did a lot of nice stuff for them already so...???

But yeah Ibuki thought it might be having something to do with saboteur-chan... but who knows?

[SORRY TAKANE Ibuki just told Nathaniel something very worrying, he is focusing on her for now.]

If anyone here was leading a group to the Bastion, they would need shards and compasses to actually get here. But if they could get all of those to the group, then why not lead them here without stealing anything? And why not tell all of us, so we could help them get here?

[Nathaniel shakes his head.]

No, something is up. We need to have a Bastion-wide meeting as soon as the group gets back, I've got a bad feeling about this.

Truth be told, Takane didn't really know what all of this meant. Stuff got stolen, big deal, things get stolen all the time back home! ]

Why is this such a big deal that we have to call a meeting?

Coz stealing stuff in this place is a lot worse than when there was more stuff to go around!

Hm... Zero-chan also said stuff about them being told we needed them to build stuff?? Or physical labor or something? Ibuki has no idea if that helps at all...

Think about it: a big group of people, all heading this way, someone from in here is telling them how to get here, and they haven't told us yet? I don't think they would be so secretive about it if they had good intentions.

[Yeah he pretty much thinks they are about to get invaded. Maybe it's a good thing they got that defensive shield after all.]

It's possible that this 'Zero' wasn't told the full truth, if he's not one of the guys in charge of his group. Did he sound like he knew what was going on? Or more like a guy just going with whatever he was told?

[ Damn it, why couldn't things be easy. She's not built for this sort of thing! There's not much more she can add to this without input from Ibuki, so she'll just focus on Ibuki with Nate for now. ]

Zero-chan's definitely not the leader dude, just somebody who was going with what was going on!

... now that Ibuki thinks about it, it's been ... thirty days on the spot since she last spoke to him! They must be really far away if they were supposed to show up here!... or they got lost?? ... or something... yeah he said they were leaving about twelve hours after he was done talking to Ibuki.

Or they could be waiting for something. Even with the Skyway in pieces, I've never heard of a journey out there taking more than a few days.

But how far has anybody actually tried to go, Nate-chan? Like, has anybody reached the edge of everything?? None of us have been to Zero-chan's place as far as Ibuki knows!

... except maybe that First Son-chan guy.
