[At about midday on Day 278, the taller of the two teenage Ura comes running in to the Bastion from the Skyway. Anyone who has talked to this pair of boys will know how odd this is, because they are usually inseparable.

He's out of breath, but he will call out as he runs towards the monument.]

Help! Help, it's Zee, he's- He's in trouble!

[As the madness suddenly stopped, Megaera froze, blinking once... Then glancing down at her forward leg. Her leg which was very obviously revealing her true form.]

[No reaction to Otoha whatsoever. She's freaking out again - but now for an entirely different reason, it seems.]

[... He just sighs and moves forward, reaching out to grab her hand if she doesn't move away.]

Just calm down, okay? Get to the hospital. You'll be fine.

[Is it about the looking strange? It might be that. He has no idea how to deal with that. He's not very good at reassuring people.]

[ Moon's hissing stopped abruptly as the idea that he was about to be chased out by an angry mob with their weird magic device fades. He stands there with his spines flared and wings half spread for a moment more, before shaking himself out and settling his spines with an uneasy rattle, stepping away from the man who had soiled himself because wow do not want to smell that. ]

... Anyone know what I just broke?

[ Because he definitely broke something. And it was a good thing, he thinks.

Sorry Megaera, he has no cares for what you look like. After all, he's a shifter, does it matter if she is one? Horns and weird legs wouldn't be the weirdest groundling he's ever seen. ]

[Meanwhile, Colin's just going to drop to the ground, moving away from Nathan so he can retch on the ground in peace.]

[He's got a couple of shallow cuts himself. For someone who just took some slices from a hitman with a sword, he's in pretty good shape.]

[Aaaand she's going to run away. The neurotoxin might not do much to her, but the combination of the stench, the pain from the cut, and of realizing she just revealed her true form has her a little too wigged out to think of much else.]

... Come to think of it, wow does he start feeling gross. Is this why all the groundlings are throwing up and-

Moon is going to backtrack toward the edge of the Bastion now, still shifted, as the adrenaline wears off and yeah. Trying to not do more than retch. It's not working very well. ]

[... He just tucks the bandages back into his coat. ... He's going to need a new coat. He wanders over to Colin and hands him the bandages.]

[At least Colin can wrap his wounds up enough until they get to the hospital. He kneels to check Nathan, doing his best to move him gently and not get anything on him. He's not sure how much pressure will cause pain so he tries to keep it light.]

Also he is unhurt, besides the effects of that grenade Colin detonated.]

[Fortunately, the grenade is designed to sicken, not to harm. The worst any of them will be feeling from the grenade is the exhaustion of being heavily and violently ill.]

[ALSO fortunately, not one of them will have to worry about saying that they intended on things to turn out this way. Yay for thought-altering effects of weird crystals.]

[Which Colin is going to be very irritated about, make no mistake.]

[But in the meantime, he's just going to groan and point at Ibuki.]

Stupidity, insanity, and sabotage happened... you should get out of here, Ibuki. This is not going to be pleasant for quite some time... Get Yukio or Ghaleon out here...

[Nevermind the fact that he's taken several slices to the back, and there's both tattered cloth and a fair amount of blood to show it.]

[Fortunately for Ibuki, the power packed in her vocal cords is enough for the sound to reach Ghaleon. Within minutes, he arrives on the scene with a small med kit, expecting... well, whatever he'd expected, it wasn't this.

For a moment Ghaleon is speechless, his face running through a series of expressions with accompanying gestures ranging from "What did you people do?" to "How did you even manage this so quickly?" to "There's bodily fluids everywhere," until finally settling at "You know what, don't tell me, I don't want to know right now."]

Okay then. Who is bleeding and who is merely ill?

Exhaustion and dehydration for me, Nathan, and a few others. Some of them ran off.

[Colin is barely containing his anger and his frustration. Mostly because if he opens his mouth too much, something else is going to come out of it...]

And there should be a core around here somewhere... It needs to be locked up and secured. It's the cause of this...
