They are desperately missing something important in this relationship, it's true, and he can only fervently wish that if this hallucination is to continue than maybe who he's looking for will show up as well. It's been a kinder dream than he's had in sweeps, and it's probably foolish to hope for it to get much better, but he still hopes.
