THE POOL'S HEEEEEERE!

[—is what everyone is going to hear as Aoi sprints across the Bastion. She flings her sweatshirt off, leaves it on the ground as she goes, and launches herself through the doors of the new building not far from the forge.

Anyone nearby will hear a resounding SPLASH through the doors, left wide open, as Aoi cannonballs into the deep end of the pool, shorts and tank top and all.

If anyone checks in on her, she's swimming rapid laps from one end of the pool to the other down the middle of the center lane, pausing at the ends every now and again to laugh, absolutely delighted, and wave at anyone who's shown up.] C'mon in, the water's fine!

[Aww, her new turtle friend is worried about her! How cute can you get? She reaches over to continue providing head-pets, now featuring at least 50% less being underwater.]

Sorry I can't stay under with you! Even a swimmer's lungs only hold so much air. [God, this is the third animal she's had a conversation with today; they can't understand you, Aoi.]

They seem to be real good at it, too! Hey, hey, what about you? Can you swim?

Everyone's always whining about the water being cold! You're too soooooft. [Not everyone's ridiculous enough to wear shorts all winter, Aoi, you shut up.] You must be the type who catches lots of colds in the winter, too, right, Patchouli?

[amphibian]

[What a cutie patootie! Aoi keeps giggling every time Eevee splashes at the water, though it takes effort to keep the laughter soft so as not to knock her over.

When they make it to the other end of the pool, Aoi picks Eevee back up, stands up in the shallow end, and holds Eevee in the water again.]

And there ends today's luxury cruise, heehee! Now, don't you have somewhere to be right now? [Admittedly she's a little concern that no one's come to claim the little guy yet, because Eevee isn't nearly aquatic enough to actually belong here.]

[She nuzzles Aoi. Yay friend! They should do this lots! But at that, Floette zooms in, looking slightly exasperated.]

Flo, Floette, flo flo fo.

[Eevee looks down, ears and tail drooping. Apparently whatever Floette said was something that made Eevee feel bad. The little Pokemon sighs, and floats over towards Aoi.]

Flo flo flo.

[She smiles and twirls her flower a little. She's... trying to say thank you, but translation problems.]

Not really, no. I think I'm just... so used to the weather here. It used to be colder back home.

[She may or may not be making excuses, though.]

[Aoi...thiiiinks she gets the idea? With a bright smile, she gifts Eevee with one last reassuring head-scratch before placing her back on solid ground. The poor thing looks so sad!]

It was no problem! We had lots of fun! Right? [Okay, one final pet; Aoi scratches under Eevee's chin.]

W-well, you could if it was wide enough! Or if it was a water slide!

...Oh, hey! [Momentarily distracted from the fact that Ragnarok is terrible by the realization that there is nothing standing between her and a freaking water slide—] I could get a water slide!

What's a water slide? [And that's two voices at once. Ragnarok and Crona both want to know what's going on.]

[amphibian]

You don't know what a water slide is?! [She turns her focus to address Crona now, because Crona isn't awful.] So it's a slide, right, and usually a pretty big one, but there's a current of water going down the slide, too! So when you go down the slide, you go super fast, and land right in the pool with a big huge splash!

[blackblooded]

[Crona stares, then nods.]

That... that sounds...

um...

that sounds like a lot of fun.

[amphibian]

A water slide it is! A water slide, an inner tube, pool toys—oh, oh, and I promised to buy Skyla an ability, too... If I don't make a list, I'm gonna forget!

[She starts to swim forward, placing her hands against the edge of the pool to begin to clamber out—and then flops back in the water, floating on her back with a loud sigh.] But I don't wanna get out of the pooooooool...

[There's a little smile from Crona. The meister crouches down by the pool, and drags one hand in the water.]

I wouldn't either.

[Eevee perks up at the scritches, and nuzzles into Aoi's hand. Floette's just glad Eevee didn't end up on the Skyway or something, honestly.]

[Eevee jumps up and bats at Floette, who ducks out of the way. Okay, okay. You're forgiven. For now.]

[amphibian]

[Watching the two of them play is too cute, and Aoi giggles, delighted.]

You've probably got someone else who's wondering where you are, right? We'll definitely play again! [With a grin, she holds a finger out to Floette—she's so tiny that Aoi doesn't want to go poking at her, so she invites a nuzzle instead.] You can come, too!

[Floette giggles and pats Aoi's finger with her hand. Sure thing! She likes to play. But she looks over at Eevee and nods, pulling back and waving at Aoi. Time to go!]

[Eevee yips at Aoi and runs in a circle before taking off, Floette trailing behind her.]

[Aoi snaps right back to attention, lunging forward to snatch Crona's hand and give it a gentle, encouraging tug.] Aw, c'mon, then you have to come swimming! Heavy skirts never hurt anybody and if you stick to the shallow end you'll totally be fine! C'moooooon!

[amphibian]

Mhmmmmmmm. Sounds to me like you're getting soft! It's no good to get used to things being all cozy, 'cause then you aren't ready if things get chilly!

Well, then what're you doing way over there?! C'mon in! The water's great!

[She has a point. Roxas tugs his sneakers off and drops into the pool in the rest of his clothes. Isa promptly swims over to give him a light headbutt.]

[Oh, hey, that was easy. Aoi cheers and meets Roxas's resurfacing with laughter and a light splash.] See! It's great!
