What: Aoi has made another horrendous donut flora.

[There's some bad news for anyone who thought the donut trees were unreasonable.

Anyone who passes by the lake today will notice something new: some giant donuts. A bush growing some giant donuts. Aoi lingers near it, glancing constantly between the bush with a wide grin of pride, and around the area with a look of excited anticipation. Occasionally, she drops to do some sit-ups or stretches beside the sugary abomination she has wrought.

As usual, she waves at anyone who passes by, energetic enough to nearly be flailing. Is anyone brave enough to question her creation?]

Well, he has to say something.

"A donut of that size... it can't be very healthy, can it?"

[amphibian]

Aoi's eyebrows knit together in contemplation, like this is a possibility previously left unconsidered.

"Other than being big, it's just a regular donut, though..." she says. Swish goes the point, right over her head.

[alwaysintense]

"But a bigger donut would mean more donut altogether, correct? So it's probably beyond a regular serving size!" Because that is the problem with this situation. It's just a bit too much donut.

[amphibian]

Too much donut? No such thing.

"Ah, I guess so... But that's only if you ate it all at once. And only if you're person-sized!"

[alwaysintense]

"But anything grown is best eaten fresh. The leftover pastry may go stale before being fully consumed!"

"...Although, you do have a point regarding the size of the one eating." He could hardly see the Bastion's resident colossal dragon taking the time to pluck individual donuts off of the tree.

[amphibian]

Aoi purses her lips, thoughtful, and then decides that no, she can't recall ever eating a stale donut here. With a shrug, she says, "I don't think we've had that problem with the trees yet... You're thinking waaaay too hard about this. It's all magic!" Her tone is far too casual; she is way too adjusted to this magic business.

[alwaysintense]

Erk- he won't let go of his theory so easily! 'It's magic' can't undo every downside, right? "Ah, but the donuts on the trees are reasonably sized! So long as you never pick more donuts then you plan on eating, they won't have the chance to go stale. So it may not show up as an obvious problem! Or do you recall a time where you did save a donut from the tree for later?"

[amphibian]

Aoi quickly corrects, "Reasonably sized if you're regular people-sized!"

Her face scrunches into annoyance as he continues—what even is your point, come on—until that last question. Stirred, she reaches into the tiny pouch at her hip, hanging off her belt, and pulls out a donut. And another donut.

"I'm always prepared!" she says, beaming. "Want one?"

Well, there it is. The moment of truth. He nods, accepting the donut from Aoi. Well, it's as good a test as any.

(No test he could do right now would actually be any good. He has never eaten a donut before. He has no basis of comparison for if it's stale or not.)

He squishes it between his fingers a bit. "It seems fresh enough..."

So he brings it up to his mouth to finally take a bite...

wow donuts are actually pretty good.

[individuates]

[yeah, just staring in disbelief at those giant donuts. Those donuts are at least as wide as Mori-senpai is tall. How… is one supposed to get them down, exactly?]

[blackblooded]

[That is huge, and Crona looks vaguely horrified. Ragnarok, on the other hand, looks thrilled, and he promptly starts waving his stubby arms around.]

Holy shit, I need to eat that!

... Ragnarok, that's huge. You can't eat that. You'll make me sick.

[amphibian]

Not realizing what a monumental occasion this is, Kiyotaka's approval is met with a smug grin instead of intense excitement.

"It's totally fine, right?" she says through a mouthful of the donut she started eating while he inspected his. "There's magic for you!"

[amphibian]

[And what a face that is—even better from someone who couldn't wrap his head around regular-sized donuts on trees. Giggling, Aoi tries to wave him over.]

Hehe, what's with that face? Do you want one?

[amphibian]

Just one! You've gotta save the other!

[A pause as the non-donut part of that exchange processes—] Oh, wait, don't make anyone sick, though!

[alwaysintense]

There's a brief mumbling to himself of something along the lines of "It grew on a tree... works like fruit... riper over time..." All while staring at the no longer fully circular donut.

But then he remembers he isn't alone and his head pops right back up. "It seems to be in good condition to me! I suppose I should thank you for this... Wait, am I allowed to have the rest?"

[amphibian]

"Um, yes?" Aoi giggles and rolls her eyes. "Nobody wants your half-eaten donut, Ishimaru." She gestures vaguely towards the rest of the Bastion and adds, "You're welcome! There's more where that came from on the trees, too."

[blackblooded]

Hell no! I'm gonna eat both of them!

[amphibian]

The other one's for someone else! Don't be greedy! [Hands on her hips, she steps between Ragnarok and the bush. She'll fight him for it, don't think she won't.]

[blackblooded]

[Crona, once again, is trapped in the awkward position of being between Ragnarok and the person he's arguing with. The meister makes a semi-successful attempt at ducking out of the way.]

Moron! One's for me, and one's for Crona! And since Crona ain't gonna eat it, I get it!

[amphibian]

That's definitely not how it works! Go spend your own shards on giant donuts if you want them all to yourself!

[blackblooded]

Tch, like we're dumb enough to waste shards on doughnut trees! Only a moron would do that!

[amphibian]

[WOW, SHOTS FIRED]

A moron?! Hey! Then you just shouldn't have any donuts if you feel that way!

[blackblooded]
