[lately, someone has been learning how to swim]

[it all started a few weeks back with a bellyflop into the onsen and a good deal of flailing, which made Kaoru decide that something needed to be done. Thus, after splashing about with her mama in the onsen and the river every day or so since then, Tama-chan has learned how to swim.

She also learned that she can catch fish in her mouth if she's fast enough, but since it freaks Kaoru out a bit to see them flopping around, she tries not to do it around him. But Kaoru isn't with her today. Tama-chan likes to share with the people she loves and, well... she loves everyone.

[Tama-chan loves her derpy foxes best of all. She makes another group of laughing noises again with her tongue hanging out, then dives down again, this time in search of a peace offering - which she snags by the tail and brings up still wriggling. Truce?]

[Wellllll okay. Peace offering accepted. And since he's already wet and already in the water he'll just take it and go plop himself down in one of the shallower parts of the river.

Mmm raw fish. Not something he's used to eating, but he's got enough animal instincts there to just dig in anyway.]

[swims over to him, wading again once it's shallow enough. She's definitely watching him eat that fish. Good? Delicious?]

[Yes very good! Very delicious!]

[wonderful. She wanders circles around him until he's done eating, then starts up the river bank again, shaking each leg delicately as she goes to get rid of any clinging water, then flops belly-up on the grass.

It's so nice, having scales.]

[Zoroark finishes his given meal and follows her, but unlike those nice scales of hers he's still stuck with fur.

He does the whole dog-shaking-water-off thing, and his fur decides now is the perfect time to poof out on him.

Oops. Fluffball Zoroark.]

[thumps her tail against the ground and sticks out her tongue. Your fur looks nice like that. But then Tama-chan's taste is questionable. Maybe not so much nice as... well, interesting? Makes a few chirps and rolls around on her back like a cat with an itch. Not laughing at you. Honest.]

[Uhuh, sure. Not laughing at him.

He's just going to huff through his nose and flop on the ground. Obviously rolling around in the dirt is the best option to fix this mess.]

[obviously. You're so strange. Being all reticent at the thought of getting wet in the first place... well, granted, her mama didn't care that much about whether or not he got wet when he was teaching her to swim, but these days he doesn't get in the water with her that much. He is just a regular human, after all. And papa wouldn't even dream of it - save in the onsen. But Tama-chans and Zoroarks shouldn't care about all that, should they?

Glancing about to make sure she's not being watched - can Zoroarks dig? Because Tama-chans can dig. She's not supposed to dig in the Bastion, but if you don't tell, she'll show you how. Not that the little Tama-chan holes won't be a giveaway at all.]

[In his defense, Zoroark can't learn Surf. Even back in Vatheon he only ever liked hanging out on the beach because the salt water made his fur all gross. :c

They can learn Dig, though, but that's not in Zoroark's immediate skill set. Though Zoroark, this one anyway, has the virtue of being pretty smart and capable of learning things that aren't just a power move, too.

He watches curiously, then gets on to all fours and starts pawing at the ground with his massive claws.]
