"I should hope so." He met Seimei's gaze, smiling at him until he broke it, and looked down at his own cake, lowering the fork to carefully dig out a little of the cream and sliced strawberries from the middle. He wasn't in the habit of dissecting his food but... the whole strawberries had been set to the side of the plate without his even realising it.
Kaoru set the fork down carefully on the edge of the plate, taking up his tea with both hands, quite happy just watching Seimei for now and sipping from his cup. As he had expected, Seimei's tea was almost a perfect match for his cake.
He couldn't help chuckling, albeit softly, at the reaction, though. He knew so few people who went into raptures over a piece of cake.
