[Rin bent down on a knee, petting Kintarou gently.]

[Rin and Kintarou both stare at Zuko, mimicking each other's headtilts.]

Did you not know that Pokemon can fight?

No, I just- I thought they only fought each other. For fun.

Well, yeah, but even I know all that power doesn't just go to Pokemon battles! Like, c'mon, their entire world revolved around havin' partners, not just for things like that.

[She's friends with Hilda, after all. She's gotten the whole lecture from N about how amazing Pokemon are and how they're not just living toys for people's amusement.]

So they fight with their trainers?

[None of the pokemon trainers she's met seem like they could fight at all.]

More like along side them. Like... what's a good example... oh! Right! Hilda told me about this team of fire fighters that used a lot of Earth and Water type Pokemon to help them! Oh, and all of the police officers have their own Pokemon partners.

That sorta thing.

... people who make sure houses and buildings don't burn down. 'cause, y'know. Not everyone can control fire like us.

I never thought about having people dedicated to that.

Well yeah, 'course not. A fire breaks out somewhere and you can just... [moving her hands around, completely incorrectly.] woosh! Bend it all away!

[Rin your firebending forms are terrible.]

[This is why she uses a sword.] So, c'mon. Let him help. Two against one, and I bet you'll still kick my ass!

[Such modesty. Although Kintarou might have an advantage being an adorable animal.]

You want to use that area Rob made? That way we don't have to worry about limits.

[Zuko leads the way to the training grounds, waiting until all three of them are within the circle before activating the stone monolith.

She turns to Rin and Kintarou and draws her swords.]

All right. Let's see what you've got.

[Rin brought out her own blades, the first swathing in it's usual blue fire. She looked down at Kintarou excitedly.]
