I hear you. Too many unusual things have been happening, there's got to be a reason for it all. I'll be damned if I know what it is, though. If we could figure out what this guy wants in the first place, then we could probably find him.

[It actually takes her a second to even recognize Meg, though that's one part the trouble she has breaking her focus, though. She pauses punching a dummy to grin at her.]

Hey, Meg! [One last hit before she actually stops, though, and faces Megaera.] Um... Not any, actually... It's all just kinda stuff I picked up from being on the Skyway so much.

[Zayna had a vague recollection of Jay, though as she didn't socialize much outside of the other Ura she hadn't talked to him much herself.

At first she didn't realize just what Zulf was getting at, but the more he spoke the more obvious it became.

Zayna wasn't much for showing many emotions, often stoic in comparison to her father who tended to be silly and charismatic, so when her face started turning bright red it was all she could do to keep from hiding behind her hands.

It did make her wonder why, though. Sure spending time with him had always been nice... nicer than any other socializing she might have gotten dragged in to at any point there, but him having romantic interest in her? It was surprising, to say the least.

But not unwelcome.

and Aoi's initial instinct is panic, because loud swear words are the sort of yelling people do when there's trouble, but when she shows up, it's just...Psii. Losing his shit laughing.

[Zulf waits for a moment, trying not to fidget like an adolescent with his first crush, before his own pale skin starts to burn brightly red.]

I... I understand this is sudden, so if you want a moment...

N-no! I-- I mean. You... don't have to leave, I'm just... very surprised, is all...

Surprised and incredibly flattered.

[Don't think he doesn't notice that.

He does feel a bit of pride there, knowing that Rin is distracted by him. But at the same time, he starts to feel like an awkwardturtle over it, because he's not used to people watching. So after a bit he'll stop with his training and wave Rin over.]

[Sorry, honey. You're hot and your girlfriend knows it. At least now she's not trying to do it secretively anymore. Being beckoned, she puts her practice sword against the dummy and heads over.] Hey~

I've been doing it every couple of nights for the past few months. Had to come up with something to keep morale up, after all.

And I am absolutely offering to take you to one. Rin's gotten pretty good at making popcorn.

The question is, will turning the Bastion on before the calamity pose a risk when the calamity goes off? I am absolutely going to try to stop things... but I can't promise success. Time is difficult, to say the least.

Never, NEVER expect an answer without proof, that's what they keep trying to beat into my head... But it just seems too convenient that all of this has been happening the same way. That phone booth out there is a herald, I'm sure of it.

[That gets her to laugh, though it's a warm laugh along with her still flushed cheeks.

That seems to be a yes.]

[Hearing her laugh somehow gets it to echo in his own throat, his posture losing its straightness to instead shake with the sound. A bit daringly, he reaches over to take her hand and glances up with a shy pleasure from beneath his bangs.]

[Ikuri had found many things in the Bastion she never thought she'd have: friendship, love...a sense of community. Reasons to fight beyond simple survival. It wasn't just a matter of victory or death: not on the smaller and more personal scale, at least.]

[No, she's been getting a very different and unsettling feeling lately. A notion that everything here might be at risk.]


[In recent days...she's mostly been keeping to herself. She has no honest idea how effective "training" as a concept would be to a creature like her, but lately it's been the only thing she could find the heart to lend herself to. Doing laps around the Bastion, training herself - and alongside partners - in the designated areas...truth be told, she's barely been resting; has barely felt the need.]

[It wasn't hunger for battle pushing her. It wasn't even the overt fear of the dying world of old. It was...a peculiar disquiet. The feeling that something was wrong, or rather that something was approaching. With the hostilities between her home and this other faction that had made itself known, it wasn't entirely an unreasonable feeling, but...]

[Wherever you find her, she's doing one of two things: exercising, or taking a break from it that's purely just idly standing, sitting or even pacing about, and in no circumstance is she even close to relaxed. There's the indelible feeling that she has to be prepared, though for what, even she has no idea.]
