Day 301 [Closed] Soup for you
Who: Ippo and Ibuki
Open: Closed
When: The day of the core hunt
Where: Ippo and Ibuki's house
What: Ippo caught a fever or something, that's why he's not on the core hunt team!
Format: log, Action
Warnings: Ibuki, sick, and probably a bunch of fluff
[Ibuki had been wondering why Ippo hadn't shown up to the core announcement meeting... or why he hadn't even done his morning jog, for that matter.]
[Maybe she should have checked him before running off, but either way, when she came home ... he was still in bed?]
[She probably shouldn't have stopped for that ice cream and come right home]
Hey, hey, Ippo-chan? Lazy-chan! You can't just laze the day away! Come on, it's time to play with Ibuki!

... there might have been a meeting about... you know, a thing. A big thing. Like a shard, but bigger??
A core thing.
no subject
[Well that was enough to snap his common sense sensors off and send him into work mode. Might wanna stop him from getting up Ibuki because he's going for it without a second thought.]
no subject
[And Ibuki just kind of... gently flops on top of Ippo. That should stop him from getting out of bed right??]
no subject
Ibuki...come on, I gotta...I gotta go help...!
[Said the sick man to his tiny girlfriend managing to hold him down solely on the principle of being on top of him.]
no subject
You'd just fall on your face and gurgle swamp water!!! Swamp water isn't good for you, Ippo-chan!
no subject
[Says the person who literally cannot lift someone Ibuki's size off of him at the moment. Why are you such a shounen hero??]
I can...I can handle it, I've handled worse!

[...Wow Ippo, friggin' rude much? He's had about enough of being pinned down now and despite his illness, he's actually managing to get Ibuki up some. He might be drained, but the kid's got some moxie in him.]
no subject
Right for the sucker punch, Ippo-chan! How ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!
[she lightly slaps Ippo's face. Ippo is lucky his girlfriend isn't overly concerned about her weight]
That was like, totally out of character of you, Ippo-chan!
no subject
I...god I'm...I didn't mean...I'm sorry...
[Just give him a few seconds, he needs to actually process what just happened.]
no subject
You're lucky Ibuki is a kind and forgiving Goddess of Music, Ippo-chan!

...
[Ibuki just kind of hugs Ippo]
no subject
[He's just going to accept the hug because he's a mess right now. He's been a mess. He's been a slow burning mess since he arrived of his rock. Since Night died. Since being tossed out of a hospital by his neck by something he couldn't see.
Everything here had slowly been chipping away at him and for every step he'd felt like he'd taken, it was more than ever apparent that he'd lost a piece of himself for that step. It was like he didn't care about himself anymore, or anyone else and he knew that wasn't him. He kept trying to hide his pain in the light of making others happy but now...it was just too much for him.
He was lashing out in ways he never thought he was capable of, towards people he'd never even consider harming in a thousand years.
Suffice it to say, he probably needed this cry. He had a lot to let out, more than even he realized.]

Ibuki's here...
[She gives him a soft kiss on the forehead, before just kind of nuzzling up against him... wait, no, is she going to get sick now??? Oh well.]
no subject
[He'd never properly had his time to let himself get too down about things here, but...this was it. His world was gone. A lot of his family and friends with it. It wasn't a good situation, it wasn't an okay situation, and it wasn't anything he could find a reason to be happy about. Well...almost. He could think of one thing.]
I'm...i'm sorry I just...I lost myself for a second...I'm okay...I'll be okay. You're here...so I'll be fine...
[This was his life now. There wasn't any going back to the way things were. If he let himself drown in the past, he wouldn't be carrying on the legacy of his world. Worse still, he'd be letting himself be denied what happiness he could find. That was no way to live, and he had every intention of living.]

[... her world was gone, and almost everything she knew was gone. Sure, there was Aoi and Makoto but... she hadn't even known of them until she'd arrived at the Bastion-]
[... as she thought that, she couldn't help but wonder... did she ever meet them? She was missing some memories, after all, of Hope's Peak Academy...]
... yeah. We're both here, Ippo-chan. We're both here...
[... but those erased memories, a part of her wanted to know what was locked there... but she also dreaded just what may be hidden]
no subject
[He let himself settle back down, let his emotions calm, let his sense of self return.]
Good thing you're here...I don't think...swamp water would have done...any favors for my breath.

no subject
[Damn...great way to get him all embarrassed about his idiot compulsions. Good thing his face was already flushed from his fever.]
no subject
And now Ibuki's here to keep them from going out of control!
no subject
[Considering how easily he'd considered walking off to an early grave or at the very least a week in the hospital...it was probably for the best she was here.]
