Day 287
Who: Zulf and you
Open: Open
When: Day 287
Where: The edge of the Bastion
What: Zulf is available for heckling. At least his pipe still loves him.
Format: Any
Warnings: Zulf's various issues
There aren't many places in the Bastion where one can be properly alone, save barring their own chosen place of residence. So what happens, then, when one properly botches up the relations with their own housemates?
Zulf takes the bare minimum of his things and takes up one of the apartment rooms, just for a short while so that Zia can have her space. Staying and letting himself stare at a ceiling does him no good, however, and, come evening, anyone looking can see his figure seated on the edge of the Bastion with smoke filling up the air and his gaze focused solely on the abyss beneath them all.

But it's the immediate things which would affect him.
"If it happened a second time... I'm not sure if I could live with myself."

Rin was no stranger to grief. She had hid it well after Shiro's passing, but like Zulf it was not something she could have done a second time without breaking down entirely.
"I really hope we're not the only ones who feel like this."

"People have their own thoughts about this. Their own emotions. I imagine there has to be at least one or two... But it's hard to tell without proper discussion."
no subject
And she knows she didn't help with that, but even if she hadn't spoken against Colin emotions would have been high regardless.

"It might just be a matter of being patient...."
no subject
"Y'know I hate bein' patient."
no subject
"Well, practice makes perfect. You have plenty of time to refine the trait."
no subject
"I'unno about that. I bet if Dad was here he'd make some comment about it takin' me a hundred years to gain even a little bit of patience!"
no subject
"I know it's not the case for everyone in the Bastion, but some of us don't have that long."
no subject
Not that she actually minds. She knows it can't be helped.
"Well duh. I gotta prove him wrong, don't I?"
Even if Shiro wasn't there anymore, nor would he ever be. In her mind he would still say it because really he had already said it.
"Go on then! Prove to me what an adult you've become!"
no subject
"I suppose so... We all have a lot to prove, it seems."
no subject
And now... there's not much more to talk about, is there?
