What: No one died during the horrible plague scare! That's reason enough for a feast and a mingle log right?

[Someone has been busy today. The kitchen and Distillery has been noisy and bustling, a departure from the much more quiet days when the illness was spreading through the Bastion and survival was once more on the uncertain scale of things. Somewhere around the time that the night cycle begins, when the sky is more of an orange-ish glow fading in to blue and purple, a large spread of food has been set up near the Distillery with glass lanterns hanging overhead.

Just like any other time there has been a feast be it random or planned, there is a wide selection of food on the covered, decorated tables. There's even meat this time! And yes, Aoi, your doughnuts have been transferred from your trees to a platter on the table. There's even a section for Paar, complete with massive amounts of bbq'd mammoth meat! You can thank Colin for that.

There's really no announcement for the feast, but chances are if you're outside at any point today you'll see the progress towards the set up, or smell the delicious scents wafting over the Bastion. (There might even be music playing, if Colin finds a way to provide it!)

Either way, come dusk food will be ready and mingling will be had!]

[Zuko has similar feelings about the celebration, really. While she's glad everyone is all right, it doesn't inspire any excitement in her. She's mostly here for the food, and finding an out-of-the-way place to eat it seems like a good idea.

She's not far from Yukio when Oshawott comes scampering past her, making her sidestep to avoid tripping over him. She watches him disappear and then looks to where he came from. Oh, it's Rin's brother.]

Was that one yours?

[Yukio offers a sheepish smile. He really should try to rein the little guy in a bit, huh?]

Ah, yes. I'm sorry about him. He's been very excitable ever since we were able to drop the quarantine...

[Hope you don't mind her sitting down nearby. She's not going to ask.]

[He doesn't seem to mind, just nodding as he pokes at the food on his plate.]

Not even two weeks old.

He's a... water pokemon, right? Rin told me about it.

That's right, but I guess he's too young to show it much yet.

[Grinning a bit.] He did sneeze bubbles the other day, though.

[It sounds cute, too, but she's not about to say that out loud.]

[It was incredibly cute, but Yuki's also attending the not-admitting-it-out-loud party.]

I'm sure he'll be dousing people and causing trouble before long.

Splashing people is pretty harmless.

...hopefully Rin's fire pig won't be too much trouble.

I'm not entirely familiar with how Pokemon mature, but hopefully control won't be too much of an issue.

[He takes a small bite, chewing and swallowing before continuing.]

You've been working with my sister, haven't you? Teaching her?

[Zuko nods.]

What she does isn't firebending, but I think it's helping.

[Yukio smiles and dips his head in Zuko's direction.]

[Zuko blinks and then bows her head slightly in return.]

It's nothing. I appreciate having somene to share it with.

She had a teacher in our world, but no one with abilities like hers. Or yours.

I think she said the only training she had before was lighting candles.

[doctor_dragoon]

That's right, to try and teach her control and precision.

I used to do that when I meditated. But control begins inside, just like fire.

Self-doubt, inner turmoil... Things like that muddle your energy, and make it harder to have control. They're also things you're probably better equipped to help her with than I am.
